I Just Need to Know If Meredith Duxbury Really Applies That Much Foundation

If you live under a rock like I do you might now know who Meredith Duxbury is. I really struggle keeping up with popular influencers and feel like an 85 year old woman navigating popular music culture in 2023 versus music from my own era when it comes to knowing who anyone is. I’ve always been that way when it comes to youTube and now it’s the same with Tiktok. I’m pretty old school so, I’ll totally know a blogger but if some new Tarte collaboration pops up with an influencer I’ll have to haul ass to Google to find out who that person is. And said person typically has like 5 gabillion followers so, yeah, I’m the only one not knowing who she or he is. See? Told ya I live under a rock.

I will say I’m sort of a little bit better with Tiktokers and I do recognize some of the popular ones especially ones that stand out like Meredith Duxbury. Why does she stand out? Well….my friends, she legit uses a bottle of foundation per a video. But before we dive into that please know I am NOT making fun of Meredith in this post nor am I condemning whatever way she wants to apply or wear makeup. My motto is you do you. If she’s happy with her methods and they work for her that’s ALL THAT MATTERS.

I’m just honestly curious if she REALLY uses that much foundation or if she does it for the views. We all have something! I try to inject humor into my blog to get you to read it, some folks do hauls and unboxings for views, others do bold and fabulous makeup! Hell some people do true crime and makeup! So is Meredith’s thing covering her entire face in a bottle of foundation?

Now, I should say NikkieTutorials has been doing heavy foundation since the dawn of time. Remember her dripping foundation on her face (I’m so glad the trend of dripping skincare and foundation down your face is gone! It felt so very morbid to me)? But Meredith def beats out Nikkie. And for the life of me I can’t figure out if it’s a gimmick or not. A lot of her Tiktoks are cut and spliced together and I’m torn if she just pours on all that foundation and cuts and edits the Tiktoks. So, did she just pour all that on, wipe it off, and just apply a normal layer and restarted the recording to convince us she just poured a gallon of foundation on and blended it to perfection? I’m so confused. I have so many questions. How isn’t it cakey? How doesn’t it look like she’s wearing a bulletproof vest on her face? HOW JUST HOW….!

Like I said, no hate! She really does look amazing after it’s applied but I really want to know if this is how she REALLY applies it or is there some editing involved? If not, how does she afford to keep herself in foundation! She must run through it like water haha…!

What do you think? Do you think she applies this much or is she perhaps cutting the Tiktoks to make it appear as if she does? Curious minds!

    This is what I found when I googled her name. Meredith uses 10 pumps of foundation: 7 of Huda Beauty’s #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Liquid Foundation and three of DIOR’s Forever Skin Glow Foundation. She’s using mid to high end foundation, so this is costing her $$$$. There is NO way….no way….. she could blend 10 pumps of foundation without having foundation buildup around her hairline. Would the foundation dry down or would it be a tacky mess all day since it’s so thick? What happens if she’s outside on a hot and humid day? How many brushes does she use to blend the foundation? Is anyone else tempted to try this at home? NO? Just me?

      Don’t laugh but a writer on Buzzfeed tried it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read that article lol! Personally it’s a no for me as I’ve always been pro-sheer coverage! And she can totally be the same since her skin is so clear and beautiful but I guess this is her thing. I choose to think her tiktoks are somehow edited. It’s sort of a clickbait to get people to watch? I could be grossly wrong but how in deed. It seems a lot and how doesn’t it look like she’s wearing that much because she does do an after and it looks natural and gorgeous so, I’m just sitting here like wow she either blends like a pro or she cut the video, wiped it off, applied a normal layer, and restarted recording.

    This is actually scary. When I look at her last picture, she’s really a pretty girl. I love her freckles. I don’t follow any influencers – at least I don’t think I do, everyone seems to be shilling for some company – on IG or TikTok so I have no idea who she is. I’ll be interested to read the comments to say what people think of that much makeup.

      she says she loves doing it. I just feel like it might be for views! It’s a great marketing tool! It’s sort of clickbait in a way as it gets people to watch. She does makeup really well but I swear it doesn’t look like she has a pound of foundation on after she’s done so I’m curious if this is for real or not. Mario did her makeup recently and he actually went really like so her freckles showed up and I thought she looked so pretty with them showing! It is a little scary but I mean, it’s her choice. I wear too much blush so, yeah, I can’t judge 🙂 It’s all about what we feel comfortable in I guess but on a personal level, yeah, def scary for me. I couldn’t breath with this much on but also, I’m a dot on both sides of my cheeks and blend type of girl! I’ve never been full on coverage! I think her viewers are just really amazed at the after and are used to her pounding it on now!

    i think its weird and what is the point in watching? is she even teaching anything about the foundation and how it works?

      she reviews makeup, does fashion, etc…and get ready with me type videos. She’s explained how she does her foundation in past videos and she also reviews them.

    Has anyone ever actually seen her in real life? I think this is just for TikTok … all the videos look filtered anyway so it’s hard to tell if it actually even looks “good” or if it’s just a bunch of makeup. I don’t think she takes it off and redoes it, I just think instead of blending it’s really just taking off the excess and then blending in the rest, but it still looks super heavy/extra full coverage. And I’m sure having young skin helps as well cause the older you get, I think it’s just not going to work and a filter can’t help at that point.

      She lives in NY lol but never randomly ran into her ;-D Her videos are cut, you can see they flip quickly to the next part of application but it might be a filter that makes it looks perfect. Her skin is perfect anyway so she doesn’t really need a filter nor the extra coverage. And yeah def has to do with age. She’s in her early twenties so even an entire bottle of foundation will look great on her ;-D

    My guess would be she does it for videos, just not in real life! It seems like it’s her “gimmick” for her videos, to make them different from other influencers. I wonder if she hates her freckles? 🙁

      I think the same! I think it’s sort of a clickbait-y thing. Makes sense to me! I doubt she does! I think her freckles are adorable 🙂
