5 stars out of 5

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Soft Matte Blush is a new range of soft, silky matte blushes available in four very vibrant, very bold shades that launched for Summer 2023 recently at ulta.com. I picked up two of the four shades I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first saw these because wow they are loud! The promo images aren’t lying these are super striking and beautiful. I was a little concerned that should loud shades in a matte finish would be a little difficult to work with it but was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

These aren’t cheap. Each blush is $15.99 and holds 0.31 oz of blush. I suspect once they have a mass retailer launch perhaps the price will go down! I’m wondering if they’ll be more shades when that launch does happen! You can get them for 10% off using code MOBILE10 in the Ulta app or try code 130346 for $3.50 off $15!

The blushes come in the same square compact with rounded ages as L’Oreal’s popular bronzer and powders. It’s a dual-compartment compact that features the blush on the top and an empty well below it with a mirror. I thought for a second they forgot to include a brush or it went missing but both of my compacts were empty. I never used the brush anyway but at this price, I’d have liked one anyway.

I got the shades Fearless Coral and Confident Pink and I regret nothing. Not the price, not the shades, not the finish…nothing! Best purchase evers! I’m really happy with this formula, and these colors, and I’m actually ok with the matte finish as well (you know I do so hate a matte blush). These are fun, fresh, and beautiful for Summer looks. I have a heavy hand and I did overdo them while I tested them out. I would recommend using a fluffier brush with less dense bristles to prevent yourself from picking up a ton of color. These are pigment. Like, really, really pigmented. A little goes a very, very long way! I used my NARS Mie Kabuki Brush for application or the MAC 187S is another good brush to use. I could not use my favorite blush brush with these which is the Bobbi Brown Blush Brush. That brush is a bit denser with a lot more bristles and I felt like I was ready to perform in a three-ring circle after applying with that particular brush.

The texture of these blushes is soft, silky, and powdery. You’ll definitely kick up a good deal of powder as soon as your brush touches the surface of the blush. All I can say is make sure you tap, tap, tap off all the excess. As I said, these are pigmented! You want to apply as little as possible for the best look. The formula is a breeze to work with. It applies and blends flawlessly when using the proper amount. It adheres to the skin in a smooth, seamless finish without adhering to drier areas. It’s a very, very smooth finish that looks airbrushed on. The wear time is incredible! These last and last and last throughout the day! I went to a car show on Saturday and walked around in the heat several hours and after when out to dinner and a movie and my blush was as fresh as when I applied in early that morning. I got about a 13-hour day out of these without any fading. The color looked like I had applied it a few minutes ago when it was on my cheeks for several hours. I don’t typically love a matte finish but this finish wasn’t dry nor patchy.

I think the real star of the show colors! These just pop! The colors are so fresh, vibrant, and different for a drugstore launch. They really are beautiful! Sure, you have to be pretty careful with them during application but once cheeks they just add the most lovely pop of color!

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Soft Matte Blush was a win for me. The colors, the formula, the wear time, it was all wonderful! I’d highly recommend checking these out if you like vibrant, fun blush shades!

Where to buy

Ulta

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Soft Matte Blush is a new, long-wearing matte blush that’s available in 4 shades for $15.99 each which are 0.31 oz in size. This blush had a soft, silky, and powdery consistency that did kick up quite a bit if powder when a brush is swiped through it! I found the applied beautifully with a smooth, flawless finish that didn’t adhere to drier areas. They also wore for a good 13 hours without any issues of fading. The formula does require a softer, delicate touch since the blushes are so pigmented and can be easily overdone!

Pros

  • Great for darker skin tones.
  • Very long wearing.
  • Very pigmented.
  • Smooth, seamless color.

Cons

  • Expensive.
