I Didn’t Get My Hands On the Strawberry Shortcake Gingham Basket Bag But I’m This Close to Ordering the Strawberry Shortcake Gingham Patchwork Cardigan
This one time Hot Topic released a Supernatural Jacket. It was NOT all that but at that point in my life it WAS ALL THAT. Ya know what I mean? You ever purchase some article of clothing or even a makeup item and it’s something you REALLY, REALLY need but years later you’re looking in your closet (or through that makeup graveyard you have) and think, “Why did I buy this?”
I can’t remember for the life of me what the jacket looked like but I remember actively loading up Hot Topic every single day for a year in hopes it would come back in stock. Seriously, I bet if I remembered the name of the jacket it’s still hanging out as an “out of stock” item at Hot Topic. I do remember one thing, it was grossly overacted and I was just being a Winchester fangirl and having a bad, bad case of FOMO.
Needless to say, it’s happening again and currently it’s because I wasn’t able to grab the Strawberry Shortcake Gingham Basket Crossbody Bag. Do I need this bag? Absolutely not. I have hundreds of purses especially novelty purses which are my specialty. Do I want this bag? Oh my god a thousand times yes! Guys, it’s Strawberry freaking Shortcake. Come on! And it’s cute as hell. But as with most Hot Topic bags it’s probably completely shoddy material. I mean, the few reviews that are live aren’t promising. Maybe I dodged a bullet that it sold out.
Hot Topic has this entire range of Strawberry Shortcake all the damn things at the moment and I swear I’m so close to going wild and getting the Strawberry Shortcake Gingham Patchwork Cardigan. This is the cutest and most god awful thing at the same time. It’s adorable but also, gaudy as hell. I want it and I don’t want it. I think I’d look like a complete idiot wearing it but my inner child is DEMANDING I buy it.
I’m going to use some sense of logic (and common sense) and not get it because I know it’ll hang in my closet unworn. But I also know myself very well and if goes out of stock I’ll have the WORST FOMO and want to buy it at some jacked up silly price on Mercari.
Someone help me forget about it. Please and thank you!
