5 stars out of 5

There’s a lot of things in the beauty world that aren’t entirely pleasant. Waxing, plucking brows, shaving, applying liquid eyeliner…the list is pretty big when it comes to beauty things that aren’t particularly fun. One of the worst things in my opinion is sunscreen! I HATE applying sunscreen! It’s thick, it’s greasy, it leaves a white cast, it doesn’t work well with makeup, it’s heavy…

SPF just isn’t fun, is it? Thankfully, that’s changed a lot over the years, and formulas have improved. Japanese and Korean formulas are ones, that for many years, have been the most user-friendly when it comes to being lightweight, easy to apply, non-greasy or tacky, quick absorbing, and just not a chore to wear.

One such formula I’ve been loving lately is Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++!

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++ is a non-nano chemical sunscreen that blocks UV rays. Non-nano allows for a safer sunscreen experience while providing the benefits of the protection you’d get from a nano one.

This formula is so lightweight, easy to absorb, and leaves skin with a nice, hydrated finish plus it plumps up the skin giving it the appearance of using Hyaluronic Acid (it has a bit in it which accounts for that juicy, plumped up look). The texture is light, thin, and creamy. It absorbs so super quickly into my skin and doesn’t leave behind a white cast. There is some dewiness initially but I find it settles down into a smooth finish that’s hydrating but not greasy, oily, or dewy.

It contains Centella Asiatica Extract as well which acts to improve and heal blemishes if you have them while enhancing collagen. It also contains Niacinamide which helps smooth and brighten the complexion.

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++ gets a big old Muse Approval. It’s incredibly affordable at $10.99 for a tube or buy a duo for $15.73. This is one to check out if you hate heavy sunscreens and want something that absorbs fast, wears well under makeup, and doesn’t smell like sunscreen (it’s completely fragrance-free).

Check it out at Stylevana!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. And it’s titanium zinc. Been looking for one, since virtually all AB, KB are chemical. And centella is the best ever! Thanks, you always come up with the best.

Thanks, Isabella! I never would have known about this if it wasn’t for you. I live in the Sonoran Desert (Coachella) and it’s so freakin’ hot here year round. I burn in 2 minutes flat; my Italian skin does me no good here. I’ll definitely be trying this stuff especially when it gets up around 120 degrees.

Oh baby! Sonoran Desert do be hot ;-D But you have wonderful nights! I was at coachella last year and I thought I was going to die haha! You should try Josie Maran’s SPF. That stuff is awesome in extreme heat!

This looks fantastic! I am currently using Supergoop. I like it but am always looking for something better/cheaper. How do you remove it? I HATE sunscreen, both the smell and removal.

    • Isabella Muse

No issues with removal here! Cleansing balm or oil followed by a foaming cleanser for me 😀
