Makeup Releases I’m Skipping and Makeup Releases I’m Buying This Month

There’s a lot of very interesting items releasing this month some of which I do want to buy and others are a big of a skip. If there’s an anti-haul we should of course, balance it out with a haul as well right?

So here’s a few makeup releases I’m skipping this month and a few I’m totally buying (or have brought already!).

I immediately grabbed the new Skin Fetish: Highlighter + Balm Duo in Xtreme Cyber Lotus yesterday when it launched on Pat Mcgrath’s website along with one shade of Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour Balm (if I like it I’ll grab more). I think the highlighter is a very pretty shade and I adore coral so it was a must buy for me! I’m excited to try the new blush balms as well! Those were on definitely buy list this month!

Makeup By Mario Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil was on the top of my list as well! I snatched up the shade Just Peachy and can’t wait to try it. I’m really into all these dewy blush shades lately! Let’s hope this performs awesome for Summer wearing!

I have a thing for hybrid blush formulas that act as highlighters. I love a glowing, radiant, or shimmering blush! You get that beautiful color from the blush but also, a nice glow effect without the need for highlighter. We don’t have nearly enough blush formulas around that work like this but Saie’s new Glow Sculpt Multi-Use Cream Highlighting Blush sounds like it’s on the job! I snagged the Peachglow shade in this formula and I’m hopefully it’s as gorgeous and radiant as it sounds!

Farmacy Strawberry Shortcake Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm was an immediate yes for me. I love the original Green Clean formula. It’s soft, it rinses clean away, it doesn’t strip my skin and it removes makeup quickly and easily. Who doesn’t want a Strawberry Shortcake scented version of that?

Kosas Wet Stick Moisturizing Shiny Sheer Lipstick with Ceramides was on my hit list and I was actually about to go ahead and purchase two shades yesterday but Kosas kindly reached out and said they would gift me the shades I wanted. I haven’t yet gotten them but if for some reason they don’t arrive I’ll TOTALLY buy this formula. I love shiny lipsticks and the promo images on this formula make it look amazing!

E.L.F. Squeeze Me Lip Balm is a yay for me. I’m waiting as they launch later this weekend on ulta.com and I wanna score some points when I haul. I love a good moisturizing balm so yup, in my cart.

Unfortunately, Natasha’s new Yucca Eyeshadow Palette is a big thumbs up. I love greens but this palette just feels too dark and dank to me plus the mustard shades just aren’t for me. I MIGHT haul this if I got some incredible sale on it but at full-price it’s a naaaaa!

NARS Light Reflecting Eye Brightener makes it’s way onto to my nope, but thanks list as well. I’m curious about it but honestly, I know myself and I hate anything glow-y under my eyes plus I didn’t really love Becca’s version of this and I’m unsure if NARS will be any better. I can def skip this.

It’s not makeup but the new Clean Classic Apple Blossom is also on my do nut buy list. I love Clean fragrances and I probably own most of what they’ve put out but this one fails to excite me. It’s a spring floral fragrance and as much as I like apple notes this will likely have a more fresher, cleaner apple blossom note that will have elements of apple but will lean towards being more of a delicate flora. Just not my thing as a gourmand lover.

Fenty Match Stix Color-Adaptive Cheek + Lip Stick was in and out of my cart several times this week but I realized it’s probably going to hit the sales rack later in the Summer. I can wait on that to happen.

Benefit Hoola & WANDERful World Duo Mini Bronzer & Blush Palette just aren’t doing it for me. I LOVE the Wanderful Blush Collection but I’m not a big bronzer girl. I think it’s nifty they combined a blush and a bronzer into one palette but I have every shade of Wanderful plus some so, these would be very unnecessary purchase! Anyone who loves bronzer and doesn’t have the Wanderful Blushes I can see these being awesome but for me, it’s a no.

And last but not least is the new Tarte Big Ego Palette! It’s not only too cool for me but also, the big massive palette thing is so youTube generation. I think I’m good on massive palette hauls for now!

Looks like this is month has more haul than anti-haul but I’m pretty sure I’ll find a few more do not buys as the season progresses. Wanna share some of your hauls and anti-hauls with me? Would love to hear ’em!

Yes, I would agree with you Muse that those great big eye palettes are a thing of the past – apart from the storage issues, there are often shades that are repetitive (like in CP”S) or you just won’t use.
