Make Beauty Succulent Skin Gel Cream ($28) is a lightweight serum gel moisturizer that hydrates as it smooths, plumps and brightens skin. I picked this up several months ago during a Make Beauty Sale and lucky enough we’re back to having a sale again as I need a refill. Use code SUMMER20 to save 20% off sitewide!

At this point I’ve pretty much tried all of Make’s Skincare and I can honestly say not a single product disappointed and with gel moisturizer season upon us and a good sale it felt like a good time to talk about my love for Succulent Skin Gel Cream!

For Summer is always the season of less is more. I don’t pile on skincare as much as I do in the Winter and I like to keep things as light as possible. That’s why gel moisturizers are ideal for me in the Summer. They’re light, refreshing (keep them in the fridge for a cooling effect), and wear well with SPF. The only problem is finding one with an alcohol-free formula. That can be challenging. Alcohol isn’t a great pick in skincare as it breaks down collagen plus it dries skin out but I’ve been known to use gel moisturizers that contain it. Some gel moisturizers are pretty magical even though alcohol is in the mix. And others aren’t. But one thing I do notice when using a gel moisturizer that contains alcohol in the Summer is they don’t mix well with AC. I always feel a bit drier and tight when using a gel moisturizer that contains alcohol and I’m spending several hours in the AC. I can bodies in my office as the AC here is really, really cold. I always feel tighter and drier in a colder environment especially when using alcohol anything on my skin.

Lucky enough Make Beauty Succulent Skin Gel Cream is water, glycerin, and aloe-based. This is a lightweight gel formula that contains Niacinamide as well as Sodium Hyaluronate. It’s fragrance-free, absorbs easily, leaves behind well hydrated skin, works well under makeup and keeps my skin moisturized all day long without being greasy or oily. If you have oily skin you’ll absolutely adore this as well but it’s no lightweight when taking on drier skin too! It comes in a tube with an attached pump for easy application! A little goes a very long way at injecting plenty of moisture into my skin!

Make Beauty Succulent Skin Gel Cream is a winner if you need a lighter moisturizer that isn’t heavy but provides plenty of hydration! Loves it!
