Nouveau Cheap Passed Away According to New Facebook Post
I know some of you were probably followers of Nouveau Cheap and I’ve even had people ask, “What happened to G from Nouveau Cheap?” And honestly, I had no idea. In 2017, she had posted she’d be away from her blog due to family reasons and never returned. Today she got recommended to me on Instagram and I randomly clicked the profile and saw someone had posted that she had passed away. If you head to her Facebook page apparently a close friend is saying the following:
“Hello everyone – Nouveau Cheap was my very dear friend Gina’s blog. Sadly, today Gina passed away from cancer. I don’t know how to get a message out to all those who followed her, but I know so many people loved her blog. Makeup was her passion and this blog gave her so much life after we left our jobs in Publishing (where she and I met). Take care, everyone! ❤️”
I had no idea she was sick. As far as I know, she never mentioned it on her website and I was shocked to hear about it from her friend. I hope I’m not being disrespectful or inappropriate sharing this but I’m doing so in the hopes it brings some closure to her followers and fans as many people wondered where she went and why she never came back. When she posted she was having family issues I assumed that perhaps her mom or dad had passed away and she was dealing with the grief of that. The thought she herself had died never crossed my mind.
I’m sitting here a little shell-shocked and a certain part of me hopes it isn’t true. I can’t even confirm this information as I don’t know her personally nor do I know the girl posting on her Facebook page. She was very dedicated to bringing her readers the best deals on the Internet on beauty and makeup and to just disappear one day seemed very odd but as I said, I just assumed she was dealing with grief from the loss of a loved one.
