Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge Eyeshadow Palette Brings Wearable, Smokey Shades to the Table
Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge Eyeshadow Palette is new, permanent “empowering” palette inspired by the strength within you that delivers a bold selection of 18 grunge-y shades. Is it serving up Pearl Jam circa 1993 or just some wearable smokey shades? Maybe a little of both? This is definately a more wearable smokier palette than the release Natasha Denona Xenon Eyeshadow Palette. We aren’t getting black, black, black in this palette. Huda mixed in some great nude transitional shades paired up with some very wearable taupes. Where as I struggled hard wondering how I could ever do anything with the Xenon Eyeshadow Palette I can easily see myself creating a few looks with the Pretty Grunge Palette. It feels a bit more cohesive and I feel less likely to blend myself a black eye when using it.
Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge Eyeshadow Palette launches on November 1st along with a Pretty Grunge Makeup Collection that includes a gray pH Balance Blush Gloss that adjusts to your skin’s pH Balance, new black shades of Liquid Matte Silk Balm and Lip Contour 2.0 as well as a Lip Quad featuring Liquid Matte Lipsticks in nude shades including one of Huda Beauty’s bestselling shades, Bombshell.
I’ve always been a sucker for Huda’s bigger palettes and I can easily see myself purchasing this one. It’s a very strong selection of bold, dramatic shades yet they are wearable. I had my issues with the Xenon Eyeshadow Palette as I said above. It was just so much black and so little contrast or transition in the shades. The Pretty Grunge Palette definately serves up some bolder shades but also, mixed in are some wearable nudes that will lighten up those bolder shades considerably and make for an easier way to wear a smokier look without looking like someone punched you in the eye. And hey, we should really discuss that very interesting grey pH Balance Blush Gloss! I’m guessing it changes to pink but interesting shade to go with this collection right?
Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge Eyeshadow Palette will launch soon along with the rest of the Pretty Grunge Makeup Collection which will be available for a limited-time (the palette from my understanding is the only permanent item). Hopefully we can grab it on sale during the Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2023!
