Ok, Tarte we see you trying over there. The new Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2024 is throwing a little color into the mix. We see you, and we acknowledge your attempts at creating something new, but you still have a ways go to also, your clickbait email about this palette being a sell-out risk might be a little controversial. But I appreciate your efforts. Also, guys, let’s be real for a second. I’m not sure who wants this for $47. You might have to cut it down to around $30ish. It only has ten eyeshadows and it’s marked up by $2 compared to the 12-pan Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes at $45 each. They call these “XL” Highlight and Transition Eyeshadows as the others are standard shades with 1 luster, 4 shimmers, and 5 mattes. I’m not seeing the size on those “XL” shades so they may be large enough to be considered four shades vs two. Not to mention the Maneater Night Fall Eyeshadow Palette is on sale for $32 and that contains 24 shades and the Big Ego Eyeshadow at $49 with 18 shades. I mean, I can go on and on all day with these comparisons but I think you get the idea right? That $47 is a little overzealous of ya. Plus never fear, I am 100% positive Tarte will have some super-size eyeshadow palette available for Spring 2024 that will trickle into their Summer 2024 launches. They always do these smaller launches before springing a big one on us!

Tarte Glamazon Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette contains eight new “rich tones” inspired by the Amazon Rainforest. I do question the validity of new shades. They are richer looking than Tarte’s normal bronzy, brassy roundup but they are still that rather repetitive brown, gold, and beige roundup nonetheless. But wait, they did get a little risque. They included a rather bright blue and forest green into the mix. How cheeky of them! But it’s likely not enough to make this a must-have, especially at this price.

Here’s what’s inside:

  • Horizon (matte soft peach)
  • Canopy (deep bronze shimmer)
  • Lush (matte forest green)
  • Light break (amber shimmer)
  • Haze (matte tan)
  • Enchanting (copper shimmer)
  • Lagoon (blue luster)
  • Forest (matte deep brown)
  • Mystic (pearl shimmer – XL pan)
  • Scenic (matte light brown – XL pan

I was a big fan of Tarte years ago, but I haven’t been “wowed” by their latest launches. This palette isn’t giving me a Spring vibe, and I agree that several shades are repetitive. It’s a pass for me.

same here. I don’t need this at all. I was a massive fan of Tarte several years back! I’d run to buy their latest releases but this is just repetitive stuff from them 🙁 And def not Spring!

Oh, wow, yeah, this color story doesn’t really appeal to me personally (cooler-toned palettes catch my eye more!) but that price point.. yikes.
