Best Drugstore Eye Cream from 2023
Technically, one of my best drugstore eye creams 2023 didn’t launch in 2023 does that make this post null and void? I sure hope not! What’s the best drugstore eye cream from 2023? Before we talk about let’s just say I’m an eye cream snob. I do believe eye cream is a splurge item but sometimes (just sometimes) the drugstore comes through and surprises me. And that’s saying a lot considering drugstore prices are pretty intense lately but the great thing about drugstore purchases is you can always get a good sale where as with a mid-range or higher-end product you sometimes have to wait for a sale and even after the sale rolls around they discount isn’t massive.
What am I looking for an eye cream? I’m come to an age where I understand eye creams are not going to perform any miracles for me. It’s just not possible to completely depuff eyes or eliminate dark circles or fill in deep hallows and erase fine lines. What I do want from my eye cream is moisture and plenty of it. In my experience, proper hydration is key to proper concealer coverage not to mention moisture will make finer lines look softer and the area will look a lot less rested if they are dry and dehydrated. I typically like a richer more thicker eye cream and this definitely isn’t one but it’s ideal for day wear and works great under concealer not to mention it’s very hydrating and does have a bit of a plumped up effect under my eyes. This is a runnier, gel-like consistency that absorbs very easily and leaves the under eye area super smooth and moist. It works great as a concealer prep and leaves my eyes looking refreshed and well hydrated.
As I said above it is sort of higher in the price range at around $30 but there are so many sales on it I don’t thin I ever paid that amount. It’s formulated with caffeine as well that acts to depuff but I personally think it excels at hydrating best.
