Normalize Applying Your Hyaluronic Acid Under Your Eyes

In 2024, we should normalize applying Hyaluronic Acid under your eyes. I’ve been doing this for a while now and let me tell you it’s made a world of difference under my eyes. Can you apply Hyaluronic Acid under your eyes? Yes, you absolutely can apply Hyaluronic Acid under your eyes and you absolutely should do so! But just beware if you have sensitive eyes also, read over ingredients before to make sure none or irritating as some formulas can sting or not be safe for eye use (for example, OSEA Hyaluronic Sea Face Serum to Firm & Hydrate is lovely stuff but it stings like a mother if I dare apply it under my eyes). Reading over the back of the product and educating yourself on ingredients is always a good rule of thumb.

Why should you apply Hyaluronic Acid under your eyes? Using a little bit of Hyaluronic Acid will make a way of different under the eye area as it prevents dry eyes, plumps the eye area up making finer lines look smoother, and it can make your concealer apply easier and look smoother.

As you know I’m a rabid of Youth to the People Triple Peptide + Cactus Oasis Serum and I’m starting to sound like an ad every time I talk about it. Sorry! But I think it’s a great example of why I started using HA under my eyes more and more. The directions on the Triple Peptide advise using it on your face and under your eyes and I will say I’ve seen a huge improvement under my eyes since I started using in that area. It’s not my end at all as far as moisture goes as it’s simply not moisturizing enough for me to use alone. But I do apply it all over my face and my eyes after cleansing when my skin is damp every morning and evening. I follow up with a richer eye cream! My finer lines look much less visible because of this and I feel like my eye cream absorbs more easily. Not to mention my concealer looks so much better when I apply it. I even double down and swipe on some of my beloved L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid + 1% Caffeine Eye Serum after I use the Youth to the People because it’s pretty damn awesome too.

A few HAs I like for use under my eyes are L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid + 1% Caffeine Eye Serum, Youth to the People Triple Peptide + Cactus Oasis Serum, Naturium Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2%, and Gokujun Premium Hyaluronic Solution.

What’s the best way to apply HA under your eyes? The key is DAMP skin! Whether it’s when you’re just out of the shower or you washed your face and haven’t yet dried it down with your towel that’s the best time to go in with your HA. Don’t apply it to your dry eyes because you’ll end up with even more dryness. You can even use a facial mist like can you use Avène Thermal Spring Water over your face before you apply the HA. Just make sure you’re applying the HA to damp skin for the best results.

Applying HA diligently under your eyes routinely comes with some great benefits over time. You’ll find your eyes looking more restful, the skin under them smoother, and plumped up. Try it out for yourself and let me know your results.

Hmmmm… have you tried the Ordinary hyaluronic acid +B5 serum? Right now, I’m going thru a cheap phase, and this is right cheap!

I have. I don’t love it. It’s on my good list just not on my favorite list! the Naturium and Hadalabo I recommended in this post are both under $20 bucks so not badly priced (but not as cheap as the ordinary but also, quite a good deal bigger).
