I know, I know. CosRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is the gold standard for most folks but InnBeauty has been slaying the skincare releases lately (their Extreme Cream is something I’d write home to my mom about!) and they just released their first ever “snail mucin” serum called Elastic Skin Firming & Plumping Serum (technically, it doesn’t contain snail mucin so, there’s that controversy). I’m so ready to try this! Apparently the formula acts to increase the skin’s elasticity and hydration in as little as a week and it’s vega. This was created with a variety of hydrating incredits like sunflower seed oil, squalane, and ceramides. From the way I’m understanding it the actual snail mucin is replaced with 6% Wild Yam Extract which is a vegan phytomucin derived from wild yam that acts to plump, hydrate, and boost the skin’s moisture levels. Honestly, all the promise of bouncy skin sold me! But Innbeauty does already have a great Slushy Serum Moisturizer with hyaluronic acid that does this already and this new Elastic Skin Firming & Plumping Serum sounds like a hyaluronic acid serum more than a snail essence. I do wonder if the formula will have the same benefits as a traditional snail serum which is legendary with those that are prone to acne and may have best redness or even blemishes as snail mucin does have anti-inflammatory benefits that help to heal and promote good skin health. Outside of that it seems Innbeauty has addressed hydration and anti-aging with this new formula!

InnBeauty Elastic Skin Firming & Plumping Serum will prove a very good pick for those that want a vegan “snail” mucin option. This one is available now for $42. I’m eager to try it out!

I’ve never tried snail mucin because they say if you’re allergic to dust mites you’re likely to be allergic or develop an allergy to snail mucin.

I was thinking about buying this but if it’s not anti-inflammatory I’m a lot less interested.
