Nowadays home security is accessible and affordable. From Ring Cameras, to small Blink Cameras, and of course, our furry friends need a little watching over too and cameras like Furbo are an awesome option! Everyone has some sort of camera located outside their homes (and sometimes even inside too!). I do a majority of my shopping online which is why having a cameras around my home is great as they can notify me when my latest grocery order arrived or when the UPS man is dropping off. Stalking the mailman has never been easier thanks to cameras am I right? And don’t sit and lie and act like you don’t stalk the mail girls and guys! We have all sorts of access to when and where he or she will arrive but I’m sure each and everyone of us still takes a peek outside on occasion to see if their out there!

I don’t discriminate. I stalk all forms of delivery people. The Uber eats dude when I’m hangry, the UPS guy for my Sephora order, the Instacarter for things I forgot to pick up at the grocery store, and I even stalk the regular old mail man. And I’m sure you’re thinking but why the mail man? He’s boring! He doesn’t have access to the good stuff. But au contraire mi cherie! Sometimes the mailman is responsible for bringing my small Ulta orders and most importantly he’s almost always the guy that’s bringing my Etsy orders. Here’s how I professional stalk him.

Although, I do have cameras set up at the front gate of my home sometimes I’m not always paying attention to them. I purchased this small X-Sense Smart Mailbox Alarm from Amazon.com and it allows me to stalk the mailman for smaller packages a little more easier. This set me back $31 bucks and it’s a cute little piece of tech. Just stick the sensor in your mailbox, set up the app on your phone, and when your mailman opens your box to put in your mail (or most important, your small packages) you’ll get an alert on your phone.

It’s particularly great if you live in an apartment as you can’t just set up a Ring Camera by your mail box and this is a great way to see if your mail was dropped off. Or if you have issues with porch pirates or perhaps people going through your mail this can alert you that the mailbox was open. I thought it was rather nifty little gadget to stalk my mailman!

Let me know if you pick one up or tell me how you stalk your mailman!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Nope. No need to spend money if there a FREE service, called “informed delivery” with USPS. You sign up for free and you get daily visual reports on things expected to arrive today. They’re literally scanned photos of your mail pieces and tracking links for your packages. Also Amazon already gives you all necessary tracking and when the driver comes within 4-7 stops from your house you can see the trucks progress through the Amazon tracking link. I will never pay for service that I’m already getting for free elsewhere.
