The Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Stick Collection is set to launch March 21st online at ulta.com! Cream Shadow Sticks from Urban Decay? How innovative. Not. Urban Decay, we’ve been over this time and time again you can’t fix what isn’t broken! You already did a line have a line of 24/7 Eyeshadow Sticks! Those are perfect fine! Why are you introducing a new Naked Eyeshadow Stick Collection? Also, why do you continue to alienate your fans with these boring ass shades?

Listen, we all know “Naked” is a household name. We all know and appreciate you put “Naked” on the map with the original launch of the Naked Eyeshadow Palette. But it’s time to refresh yourself, it’s time to reboot. You’ve done Naked to death! We have Naked Cherry, Naked Honey, Naked Concealer, Naked Foundation, we get it, you’re a exhibitionist and a bit of a nudist and we love you for it. But remember when you were bold, vivid, outrageous, and edgy? I could get on board with a line of Naked Eyeshadow Sticks I can’t lie to you! I’m of an age where I appreciate softer shades but remember your old fans that love shades like Mildew?

And hey, even if you aren’t interested in your old fans how about garnering the attention of some new ones? Shake things up with Gen Z, get them out of their clean girl era, and let your freak flag fly with some crazy, vibrant cream eyeshadow sticks.

Sadly, that’s a no go with the new line of Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Sticks but hey, it’s a thought! Unfortunately, Urban Decay isn’t doing anything that Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier hasn’t done a hundred times over. Again, don’t get me wrong I love a good shadow stick but we have a lot of these on the market already and I can’t see myself paying Urban Decay for a selection of shades I already own. At $25 they aren’t cheap and the collection is dominated by some frosty whites, bones, and creams which won’t be flattering on me. Would I buy these on sale? Hell yes. Mark them down to $10 bucks and I’d consider them but not at $25. This formula promises a long-wear of sixteen hours with a moisturizing formula that glides on and can be used as a base for powder shadows or worn alone.

Shades include:

  • Blurred Out (beige matte)
  • Exposed (dusty rose matte)
  • Peach Bum (peachy pink shimmer)
  • Private Album (cool taupe shimmer)
  • Sinnocent (rich brown matte)
  • Tasteful (cool brown shimmer)
  • Toasty (cooper bronze shimmer)
  • Top Off (light champagne shimmer)

I’m taking bets in the backroom how long it’ll be before these hit the sales rack! Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Sticks launch shortly online. Will you be grabbing them?

I agree with you – these shades are everywhere. UD had some really special unique shades and some classic shades. I don’t know why they wouldn’t chose some of those.

I get they want to do something Naked but these shades are so mediocre!

  • Cindy

They insulted me for life when they discontinued Midnight Cowboy. Come ON!! I’m still using the ones I have.

LOL! that was my favorite gold shadow. No other could compete!

Also, the industry discourse has evolved enough for them to know better than to release a naked collection with this limited a shade range.

have you noticed everyone does though? The color range of new releases is crazy small compared to a few years ago. Even colourpop has scaled way back. It’s like they just test the market, see if it sells, and later they introduce more shades but typically we see a five to eight shade range tops nowadays! It’s rather sad as we went from TOO much variety to TOO little of it.

Things have definitely been regressing. I understand wanting to gauge interest in a product but it’s annoying when you’re never included in the test audience for the shade range. You can’t test a segment that you’re excluding from jump.

Agree 100%, especially the price. No way these should be $25. Cover Girl has some shadow sticks and I bought a lot of them because I love the ease of them. However, those are $11.99, which I scoffed at. I waited until they were on sale and bought most of the colors, which I can say are very similar to a lot of these UD ones.

I’ll be honest I’d pay $25 if the shade range was better and if I had a guarantee they wouldn’t be marked down to ten bucks by June because you know it’ll happen!

I heard a (really great) TikTokker describe their vicce lipsticks as having edgy packaging and I was like.. Huh?
