Eyeshadow Palettes Are Over But These Are Ones You Do Need

We’re coming to the end of an era now. Eyeshadow Palettes seem to be a thing of the past and they feel very over. Will we see big eyeshadow palettes launching in the future? I dunno. Beauty and makeup trends come and go so in five or ten years eyeshadow palettes will make some major come back but right now it seems everyone is tired of them. I still have a special place in my heart for a good eyeshadow palette. Yes, I miss single shade launches but also, who doesn’t love a big old palette packed with tons of different shades. I can still find excitement in that. Six months ago Huda Beauty announced that this was their last big palette launch and they wouldn’t be doing them in the future.

Although, I have enough eyeshadow palettes to last me a lifetime I did buy one recently that I don’t regret and I know I’m going to make use of it all Summer long. At the moment I have four palettes on my hit mist that really are must haves.

Here are the eyeshadows palettes you really need to grab.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Spice Eye Palette $29
This little palette launched for Holiday 2025. I got it off Tiktok shop on a whim after seeing it on a Tiktok Live. I have nearly, since December, hit pan on one shade and I can see myself easily using up the others. I hope this is around for a while because I’ll absolutely repurchase it. These are the exact shades I reach for daily. It’s packed full of soft dune-like shades, lighter browns, darker browns, and just a hint of gold sparkle. It’s a perfect palette for daily use and I actually think it doesn’t get talked about nearly enough. If you like softer, romantic nudes this is for you!

Danessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork Blooming Romance and Defining Neutrals Palette For Eyes, Brows, Face & Lips $65
When Danessa introduced Groundwork Defining Neutrals I was an instant naysayer over it. Why release a palette with so many shades that appeared exactly the same? It seemed pointless. Fast forward to a browse through Sephora one day and it ended up in my cart and I have not looked back since. I used this palette so often it’s sort of absurd because I have so many palettes that I’m not loyal to any one of them. But this? This one I’m in a serious relationship with. Several months down the line she introduced a different shade selection in the form of Blooming Romance and I did not hesitate to grab it. Another purchase I don’t regret. It’s a perfect selection of shades to create a pretty, soft, easy rose look or even a deeper, more sultry berry look. I’d never thought either of these would be loved as much as they are by me but here we are. I highly recommend both!

Natasha Denona Bloom Eyeshadow Palette $69
I spoke about this above and yesterday as well. I got this one full-price (well, actually I used Ulta points but I still didn’t wait on a sale for it) and I really don’t regret it. It’s stunning! If you love peaches, corals, and golds this is the palette for you! It’s a must get for Summer looks and at the moment it’s my fav shadow palette!

With the Sephora Savings Event happening now did you end up purchasing any shadow palettes?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Seems like a lot of the younger/gen z makeup looks either use one or two subtle eyeshadows, bronzer in place of eyeshadow, or none at all. Eyeshadow has always been my favorite makeup item and I’m old enough to have been in the thick of the early 2010s palette craze! Those were the days. The youths today will never know just what a wild time it was keeping up with all the crazy palette launches haha.

I really want the Patrick Ta Major Dimension III but even with the 15% discount, it’s so spendy. I don’t think I’ll be picking it up anytime soon, which is really probably for the best since I have enough neutral eyeshadows to paint a small army.

yup! Z seem very into more natural looks. LOL no they won’t! But who knows maybe one day we’ll see a come back! I’m seeing a lot of cream and liquid shadows lately but no single shades which I’ve been waiting for a come back on. Wait, he has a sale sometimes where he gives a free palette which would be a great time to grab that or 20% off from time to time.

I own just under 20 eyeshadow palettes and haven’t worn foundation in years. It was all about the eye makeup for a while. 2025 came and I can’t get enough of the “clean girl aesthetic. It’s all about the foundation or whatever custom made tinted moisturizer I create by mixing my skincare with my existing foundation. Working on panning those face palettes, blushes and highlighters. I’m totally here for it.

likewise. I was very into eye makeup a few years ago! And now I love just a nude, natural eye and a pretty radiant blush! ;-D and of course, natural coverage! the clean girl trend is def my speed at my age :)!

I’ll quit buying makeup if palettes are over because they’re my favorite thing.
