3 stars out of 5

Farmacy Peaches ’N Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm ($36) is a new, limited edition version of the cult-favorite Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm we all know and love. This new version has a soft peach scent! Farmacy is no stranger to doing scented versions of their cleansing balm as you may already know! They’ve done a few limited edition ones for the Holidays, had a Cherry and Apple Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm formula, and even have a newer Lemon one (I hear it smells amazing!).

Not everyone loves fragrance in their skincare but I personally don’t take offense to it. It just adds to the fun of skincare in my opinion but I do understand sensitive users can be irritated by fragrance! I’m not sensitive so, I readily admit I love when Farmacy does some new scent for their cleansing balm! It’s a product I love and use and it’s just fun seeing them doing a new scent in it.

I picked up Farmacy Peaches ’N Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm when it originally released earlier this past Summer. This comes in a 3.4 oz jar, has a spatula to scoop the balm out, and is priced at $36. It also happens to support a great cause! For each cleansing balm sold, Farmacy will help donate 20 meals to Feeding America and Second Harvest.

Like the original the new Farmacy Peaches ’N Clean Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm is a soft balm-like texture, For those of you that use Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm this formula has a softer consistency and you’ll find it’s a lot softer and melts a lot easier once it touches the skin. It really melts down beautifully on skin and removes makeup very easily. Apply it to dry skin, add a little water to emulsify, and rinse with water! Done! It removes makeup super easily and doesn’t leave behind a residue nor does it dry skin out.

I had no issues with the formula! It’s just as lovely as the original. I was however disappointed with the fragrance. I thought it would have a strong scent like the other releases Farmacy has done. Cherry was one of my favs and it had a strong cherry scent! This is a very subtle fuzzy peach scent that almost smells like a mandarin! It’s very light and you really have to put your nose up close to the balm to smell it. I actually wouldn’t have purchased it if I knew how light the fragrance was because I didn’t actually need a refill of the cleansing balm since I already have a practically full jar of the original.

Farmacy Peaches ’N Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm isn’t really a necessary pick up in my opinion! If I’m honest, I’d say go with the original green formula if you need a refill! And if you don’t need a refill that’s good news as I wouldn’t recommend running out to purchase this! It’s just not that impressive if you were headed into the purchase because you wanted a peachy scented cleansing balm! I’d normally rate this a five because the formula is so amazing but I’m actually giving it a three since I’m rating it on the fragrance versus the formula.

Where to buy

Farmacy

Farmacy Peaches ’N Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm is a new peach-scented version of the original Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm. It’s 3.4 oz in size, $36 dollars, and available for a limited time. This is a great cleansing balm that has a soft, sorbet-like formula that breaks down makeup easily leaving skin soft and smooth. It doesn’t strip nor dry out my already dry skin and doesn’t leave behind any residue. The cleansing balm has always been formulated beautifully well and I look forward to the limited edition fragrances of it but Peach ‘N Clean was disappointing. The scent was that of a fuzzy peach but it almost smelled a little orange-y. The fragrance was also very light and barely noticeable which was not the case with past fragrance releases like Cherry and Apple. If you’re buying this for the fragrance alone I’d say don’t purchase it. It’s just not that great!

Pros

  • Removes makeup easily.
  • Very nice soft, sorbet-like consistency.
  • Has a cute handy spatula to remove product.

Cons

  • Very light fragrance that doesn’t smell that peachy!
