Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Not Upsetting the Balance of the Universe

Summer is here and you’re going to be outside a lot more than normal. Summer means plenty of warm, sunshine days and SPF is the order of business for those days. SPF is something you should be overindulging in daily anyway but with the warmer weather here now you’re going to be spending a lot more time outdoors and it’s always a great time to take note of your sunscreen protection. It can also be a chore because let’s be honest no one actually likes applying SPF. Or at least I don’t. It can be heavy, it can burn your eyes, it can look horrible under makeup, it can be greasy, etc…etc…
I’m so glad we’ve finally evolved here in the US and released so many great lightweight formulas that rival our Japanese favorites! A lot of sunscreens are much, much lighter nowadays, aren’t sticky, or heavy, or greasy, and they look great under makeup and don’t leave a white cast. One such formula is a favorite of mine that I’ve been using a few years now and that’s Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. I feel like this isn’t talked about nearly enough! It’s one of those great, easy to wear sunscreens that doesn’t upset the balance of your entire universe when you’re wearing it (sorry, but some SPFs do just that am I right?).
Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 ($12 to $37) is a chemical sunscreen that contains a good deal of hydrating ingredients like water, glycerin, and Grape Seed Extract. This formula protects against both UVB and UV rays.
It’s a fluid formula with a runny consistency. It’s super easy to apply and wear. It absorbs very easily into skin, does not leave a white cast, and has a dewy finish initially with a smooth, semi-matte finish after a few moments on the skin. I have drier skin and it feels refreshingly hydrating on my skin despite the claims of a “matte finish”. It wears well under makeup without piling and feels incredibly lightweight. I honestly don’t know I’m wearing it at all which is how sunscreen should be. Too many formulas are so heavy, greasy, and just insanely difficult to wear. This is not like that at all.

It’s also to get. I’m a huge fan of Japanese Sunscreens but sometimes it can be challenging locating the latest formulas and waiting to have them shipped or having to pay higher costs for them and not being able to get them at their original retail cost. It’s nice being able to snag a bottle of this at Sephora.
Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 is a great pick up if you desire an easier to wear sunscreen that’s lightweight!
