Back to matte with Sephora today! Fall 2023 is coming and Sephora is has new Matte Velvet Lipstick and Soft Matte & Easy Liquid Lipstick to celebrate the season. The new Sephora Matte Velvet Lipstick Collection 20 shades for $15 each that has a soft, long-lasting formula providing eight hours of matte coverage in a hydrating formula that contains Hyaluronic Acid. This vegan lipstick collection promises smooth, even, intense color that won’t fade, crack, bleed, or dry lips out.

For those who prefer a liquid formula there’s the new Sephora Soft Matte & Easy Liquid Lipstick ($15) available in 10 shades. This new liquid lipstick promises long-wear, high-impact color with a soft vanilla fragrance. You can even use the formula on your cheeks. The vegan water-based formula promises light, comfortable color on lips without being dry!

I’m starting to sound like my bloody father (he loves the “I remember when…” convos) remember when Sephora had really cool little makeup collections? Lately their newer launches are very spaced apart. They used to do a new seasonal launch with a few newer items sprinkled throughout the year. This is the first launch I’ve seen from them in a while and sadly, it feels too retro to me.

I mean, is it me or does matte lipstick anything remind you of the youTube generation era? Everyone and anyone was promoting matte long-wearing lipstick! I never personally brought into the trend. I always feel like matte lipsticks are dry as hell. Sure, I’ve run a cross a few I like but I prefer glossy lips any damn day of the week. I can’t believe we’re still in our matte era. Especially since Zoomers seem to like more minimal makeup and lip tints, balms, and softer, shiny lips seem to be what suits them best.

Well, no hate. If you love matte lipsticks Sephora Matte Velvet Lipstick and Soft Matte and Easy Liquid Lipstick for Fall 2023 are too badly priced and they’re available now.

What do you think of these?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.
