I admit that I have been wearing highlighter inside while sitting on the couch. I actually don’t wear highlighter a lot but now that I’m stuck inside all day it’s like, “OH HEY I want to glow!” I do love some of my Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfectors. I have a few of the blush and highlighter duos that I use really quite often! When they release a new color I am definitely all over it! And that’s exactly what we can look forward to for Summer 2020 looks as Becca Own Your Light Shimmering Skin Perfector launched yesterday.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Own Your Light is a new shade for Summer 2020. This one strikes home for me as it’s a warm gold with pink and peach. You know how much I love a good NARS Orgasm-like glow! However, the swatches give this one the appearance of being a duochrome-like shade which makes me a bit unsure if it’s exactly the golden peachy pink I’m looking for. I still want it 🙂 Because I think it’ll look fab over a little cheek stain. Or maybe even over another peach blush I own. I purchased the Sephora Rose Brush Set during the Rouge Bonus Event and one of the brushes in there is turning into a favorite of mine for really light blush or highlighter application. I’m super heavy-handed and this brush is making my application so much smoother. I wanna see how well it’ll perform with this new Becca shade!

As you may know the Sephora Play Box Subscription Service is now discontinued but Sephora has replaced it with a new individual beauty box purchase instead which starts today with the LUXE Shelf-Love Collection Beauty Box.

The Sephora Favorites LUXE Shelf-Love Collection is the first of many new beauty boxes that will be launching which allow users to purchase them without subscribing. This particular box is $25 and includes:

• La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream (0.23 oz)
• Guerlain L’Or24K Gold Radiance Primer (0.17 oz)
• Armani Beauty Lip Maestro Liquid Matte Lipstick in 400 (0.05 oz)
• Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum (0.27 oz)
• Kérastase Resistance Length Strengthening Blow-Dry Primer (1 oz)
• Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb (0.23 oz)

Sephora has done a few Luxe Boxes in the past but as of now they will be a standard offering and launching often for individual purchase at sephora.com. At some point they’ll also extend the service to a two other cheaper beauty box offering called Hello and Pop Beauty Boxes that will be $10 and $15.

I’m not really a big fan of these boxes personally as much of what is inside I’ve tried at some point or another in my beauty life. I do give them props for including a Sulwhasoo sample in this particular box as that is quite a costly product and gives people would otherwise not purchase it a chance to try it out.

I’m not sure how often Sephora will launch LUXE, Hello, and Pop Beauty Boxes but as of now they have ended the Sephora Play Subscription Service and have given consumers the ability to pick and choose the boxes they do and don’t want. I like the idea of having the ability choose which boxes I want and not worry about a box showing up at my door step each month.

Tarte Hydrocealer Concealer get in my beauty arsenal now! Tarte Hydrocealer Concealer is a new natural looking concealer that with a hydrating formula. Will it be as good as Shape Tape? PLEASE be as good as Shape Tape. I love Shape Tape but I feel like either the formula has changed since I originally tried it or I’ve gotten way more drier since then. It’s still my go to for concealing under my eyes but it can be dry. I have to be sure I prep well prior to applying it. I’ve been waiting and waiting for Tarte to release some sort of hydrating version the way E.L.F. did with Camo Concealer.

Apparently this formula will provide 12 hours of coverage and hydration. It contains caffeine and niacinamde with a plush want for easy application. I admit, I jumped on it and purchased it as soon as I seen it pop up on QVC. I imagine it’ll launch at Sephora shortly as it appears to be apart of the Rainforest of the Sea Collection.

Will it work? I sure hope so! I’m always on the hunt for a good hydrating concealer.
