Colourpop Fresh n Peachy Pressed Powder Blush Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
4 stars out of 5

Colourpop Fresh n Peachy Pressed Powder Blush ($8) is one of two new Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush shades that launched with the Peach color collection. I picked up the Big Ole Peach Collection that actually included the two blushes and the bronzer and the best out of the three shades for me turned out to be the Fresh n Peachy shade.

I’m pretty much obsessed with peach blushes (and eyeshadows, and lipglosses, and so on…) but I gotta admit I do wish they included a more glow-y blush with this collection like that gorgeous My Sun and Stars Blush shade I recently reviewed. All the powders in this collection are matte in finish. Boooo! I always feel like peaches should be sparkly or glow-y!

If you like a matte finish blush that’s subtle you might enjoy the Colourpop Fresh n Peachy Pressed Powder Blush!

Milani Temptation Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
5 stars out of 5

Milani Temptation Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color is a permanent shiny liquid lipstick that I picked up a few weeks ago when Milani started marking down this formula. I have no idea if they have plans to discontinue this line! I sure hope that isn’t the case but these have been marked down to $6.74 for a while now which is cause for concern (if you hunt around for 20% off your total coupon codes to make the price even lower).

These haven’t gotten on sale anywhere else but the fact Milani has them on permanent sale makes me think they might be getting rid of them at some point. The reason I hauled the shade out was because I’ve been rotating my makeup lately for Fall. I’m sort of obsessed with darker shades lately for the cooler weather. Not vampy dark but more like darker browns and red browns. According to Milani Temptation is a deep terracotta. I disagree. It feels more like a deep chocolate rose. It’s a pretty great shade if you do want an alternative to the vampy darker cherry red lip that’s so popular every Fall.

Natasha Denona Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette & Glow Gold Highlight Duo Give Cheeks and Face a Golden Glow!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Natasha Denona Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette might be the word for Fall 2019 but her new Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette and Glow Gold Highlight Duo should be on your lips for Holiday 2019. Both the eyeshadow palette and highlighter duo will be available September 17th at sephora.com (in stores 09/29) and they look stunning!

I do so enjoy her mini palettes. Don’t get me wrong I’m dying to check out the new Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette! 28 shades of Fall-friendly shades? Sign me up! But sometimes the basics are cool too! Her mini palette include five shades that’s it and that feels like enough sometimes as I find pairing up shades can be challenging. I’m not makeup artist sadly so if you give me 30 shades I’ll stumble a little bit and have to think several minutes about which shades go together well. Sometimes five shades is just the right amount without being overwhelming.

Technically speaking the Natasha Denona Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette isn’t all gold. It almost looks like a golden chartreuse selection of shades. It sort of has an olive green tinge which I like because green totally goes well with my big brown eyes (see me in green below cheeeseeee).

Green and gold just go so great together and I’m hoping the promo images are accurate and that’s what I’m seeing in this palette!

Shades include:
Dark Sepia (dark taupe with pink shimmer), Bia (matte olive green), Lodge (matte light tawny brown), Antheia (taupe with green reflects), D’or (high shine vibrant yellow gold)

Jump ahead for more!

It’s Pumpkin Spice Season Here’s Everything You Need To Enjoy It!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Happy Monday!

Is it feeling a little Fall around your part of the world today? It’s not quite there yet in New York. It’s actually warm today and has been the last two weeks. As in warm enough for AC so, yeah, Fall isn’t quite ready to show itself yet.

But people, I’ve been in Fall mode since late August. All my Fall decor is out (my Halloween stuff goes up October 1st), my wardrobe is Fall-ready, and I’ve had several pumpkin spice frapps to toast the season.

Welcome to Fall! Happy Pumpkin Spice Season! If it’s your season too jump ahead for a few picks you’ll need to enjoy the season ahead.
