Jeez! It’s that time of the year again! Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale Spring 2019 starts March 17th. Mostly, the fact that Daylight Savings time happens this weekend has me most concerned which is ruining the excitement of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Event for me!

Please let’s not Spring ahead! Can’t be stay in a perpetual state of autumn!? Sigh…! I’m not really looking forward to Spring and Summer.

But most important of all, I hope we see some new sale items. Ulta is notoriously bad about including the same sale stuff during these events. I can get on board with Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara being on sale and Lancome Bifacil as these are all staples that I like to restock during the sale. But having the Toasted Eyeshadow Palette on sale is a snore. It was on sale last time around plus during the Holidays during Cyber Fundays, etc…!

Wet n Wild Expert Level Cleansing Oil ($8.99) is a new, cleansing oil that launched with the Pump Collection for Spring 2019. Everyone is so into these Athleisure makeup collections lately but I sort sit here and shrug over them as they don’t always make sense to me (I don’t wear makeup when I’m working out). However, smaller skincare products like this and the Best Exfoliating Cleansing Balls that I reviewed recently can be pretty handy to travel with or use after a workout. Although, cleansing oil for me is a makeup remover experience and not so much a remove the sweat and oil from my face after a gym sesh one.

None the less I purchased this anyway! Not for gym use but just because I enjoy cleansing oil and I was curious how Wet n Wild’s formula performed!

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer ($15 to $30) a new hydrating, makeup primer that contains hemp-derived cannabis seed extract that acts to hydrate and hold makeup in place. Aside from a source of hydration, cannabis seed extract doesn’t have any long term benefits. I always feel like Milk Makeup is trying to be extra edgy with the “Kush” and hemp makeup and skincare releases. Shrug. Maybe I’m overthinking it but that’s how it comes across to me.

None the less I decided to give this a try as it looks intriguing. They had me at hydration and not so much at “makeup gripping”. I mean, sure, it sounds great that it promises to extend the wear of my makeup but I was all about more hydration. And this provides plenty but it also contains alcohol which totally sucks but I’ll buy this again and again even if it does contain alcohol because it’s brilliant.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea High Tides & Good Vibes Eyeshadow Palette ($39) is a new, limited edition that includes contains eyeshadows and glittery gel toppers in aquatic hues. This is a pretty exciting release for Tarte as there are some bold blues and aquas that the brand hasn’t released before. It’s a refreshing change from their normal nude, neutral palettes that’s for sure.

I love a good turquoise eye look and this palette appeared to have quite a few options to create one not to mention some outstanding glittery shades that I had hopes would be as amazing as the ones in the Tarte Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette.
