That was quick! Clinique BIY Blend It Yourself Pigment Drops, released just a few short months ago, are now on sale at nordstrom.com (free shipping). I dunno if anyone remembers these but it’s a pure pigment formula which you can mix with moisturizer, primer, etc to create your own custom foundation.

I actually hated Cover FX Cover Drops when they released but I’m a massive fan of Hard Candy Glamoflauge Mix”�in Pigment Makeup Drops so I am curious about Clinique’s formula. They were on my want list for a while but I never got around to picking them up! Now that they are $16.50 it might be a good time to indulge.

Matte foundation lovers might want to check out Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation that’s coming to drugstores this Summer. Available in a whooping 40 shades this new formula promises to provide a comfortable formula that absorbs oil, blurs pores, and provides a soft matte finish that’s transfer resistant.

Hear me out a second about matte foundations won’t you? Matte foundation has come a very long way! Even dry skin users can totally indulge! I’ve run across some very comfortable matte foundations lately that are totally breathable and friendly to my drier skin. I’m not sure if Covergirl’s formula will prove as just as good but they sure sell it well saying it has a flexi-hold technology that movies with your skin and provides seamless coverage that’s lightweight and comfortable to wear.

I think one of the stand out points of this release is the fact it is available in 40 shades. That’s even more than the Maybelline Fit Me range which comes in 32 shades. Maybe drugstore makeup will find get us shades that work for our skin tones!
