I think as a child getting gifts is the most important part of the season. It’s the thing that really makes you the happiest! But as you get older I think the joy comes from the giving. I love finding the perfect gift for my friends and family. Something that’s perfect and just for them. Something they’ll love, something they might cherish, something they might find useful, or most important, for makeup lovers, something that will make them feel beautiful.

I don’t have a lot of friends or family in my real life that is terribly interested in makeup but oh how I treasure the ones that I do have! I always get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I have someone I can sit down with and talk about the variety of five hundred red lipsticks I have without judgment. Or a friend that encourages me to just go ahead and buy the gorgeous nude eyeshadow palette even though I have a dozen others like it at home. But it’s especially fun around the Holidays because that means I get to hunt down the perfect makeup gift for the person that loves makeup as much as I do.

Two of my greatest friends are visiting from abroad this year for Christmas which means I get to spoil them with makeup since they love it as much as I do! I had a lot of fun selecting gifts for them this year and I was shocked when my friend Leez asked me, “Have you ever tried Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick? I don’t really like the dryness of liquid lipstick! Are these any good?” See? We’re soul mates! I don’t like the dry feeling of long-wearing lipsticks either as you know. I mean, I’ve ranted about this enough right?

Buying long-wearing liquid lipsticks? Unheard of! But I actually love this formula. It’s creamy, pigmented, applies easily, and has a long, strong hold without being dry!
