Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser ($7.99) is a new exfoliating face wash that formulated with hyaluronic acid which acts to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and seal in moisture. I was actually tempted to say that this was “infused” with hyaluronic acid because it, like many of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Skincare products, contains a very, very small amount of hyaluronic acid. Not nearly enough to make any real difference in your skin which proves disappointing but like many brands they latched onto a very popular skincare trend and ran with it.

Oddly enough, I was pretty impressed Neutrogena Hydro Boost Makeup such as the concealer and tint but wasn’t really in love with the skincare part of the collection. Neutrogena Hydrating Cleansing Gel was one of the items I checked out last year and I felt like it made my skin pretty tight after using it so, I expected more of the same from the Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser and that’s exactly what I got. This really didn’t agree with my drier skin at all. I also didn’t love the texture and consistency.

Let’s check it out.

Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set Is Only $23 Bucks

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

So, you wanna try Fenty Beauty? Most importantly you want to try out Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb right? I can’t blame you! I love it. Why is this not available in several shades? It’s super glossy, give lips a subtle hint of shimmer, tons of shine, and has a lovely nude tint. Riri, won’t you launch it in more shades please?

I imagine at this point everyone has tried it but if you haven’t this Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set is for you! Fenty pairs up a mini Gloss Bomb (0.18 oz) along with their Killawaitt FreeStyle Highlighter (0.07 oz) and pops it in this cute gift set for $23 bucks.

You can grab it up now at Sephora.com.

Is it weird I was like, “Ooo I should get this to travel with!” even though I don’t use highlighter and already own two Gloss Bombs? Sigh. It’s tough to being a beauty junkie sometimes isn’t it?

There’s a New St. Ives Cleansing Stick On the Way to Drugstores

The new St. Ives Cleansing Stick ($7.99) will be launching shortly at drugstores and I’m always on the hunt to find them. There’s a hydrating stick formula that contains cactus water and hibiscus, an apricot and manuka honey one which exfoliates and smooths, and a matcha green tea and ginger formula which acts to detox.

Last year, St. Ives introduced their facial oil scrub and I quite liked it so, I expect good things from the new cleansing sticks. Although, I suspect they’ll be loaded with fragrance and other irritants. Le sigh!

I imagine the cleansing stick and skincare stick trend is going to be huge this year at drugstores. It’s already a fad that has long since died out in the higher and mid-range brand world but drugstores are just starting to pick up on it. Yes to Coconut Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick, Physicians Formula Charcoal Detox Cleansing Stick, and Physicians Formula Refreshmint Cooling Stick are just three of the latest and newest skincare sticks to launch at drugstores but I suspect we’ll see many others as we head deeper into the Spring 2018 season.

I’ll be on the look out for the new St. Ives Cleansing Sticks and let you know when I spot them and of course, what I think of them.

What do you think?

Are they something you want to check out?

Do share!
