Just When I Thought I Didn’t Have Anything Left To Haul from the Sephora Sale…..
I totally appreciate the fact that Sephora extended their 20% off sale for the next few days (use promo code ENJOY to snag 20% off your total at Sephora.com if you’re a Rouge or VIB Member) but I actually sort of felt like I’m was pretty much covered as I really did take advantage of the two original weeks that Rouge got to indulge and stocked up on some gifts as well as items I personally wanted for myself and some staples too!
But of course, Huda had to drop her new KAYALI perfumes and I was like OH HELL I need to try these! Am I the only one intrigued as hell about these?
I believe she created these in collaboration with a friend but the marketing is a little bit of a contrast since it says they are made in France yet capture the spirit of the Middle East. Arabic fragrances are very potent with excellent blends (even cheaper fragrance oils from Al-Rehab are incredible!). If you live in Manhattan visit Arabian Oud in Times Square and experience amazing fragrances from the Middle East!
Anyway, KAYALI were created in crafted in France but I believe they are meant to capture the spirit of fragrances from Dubai. They are also actually meant to be layered together to create your own unique blend.
Huda launched them in four different scents and I am guilty of blind buying all four (as hey, 20% off) as they sound amazing!
The first scent is called Kayali Citrus and contains fresher floral and fruit notes like Bergamot, Pink Grapefruit and Rose Centifolia.
The second fragrance is Kayali Vanilla which of course, was an instant purchase for me since I love vanilla! It is descrbed as a warmer, spicier vanilla with vanilla orchid notes missed with amber woods.
The next fragrance is Kayali Musk which I’m a little tiny bit worried about as I’m not sure how it’ll smell. It contains jasmine and I’m not always keen on jasmine but it is described as a powdery floral and I do like powdery scents! There’s musk and sandalwood here too which I hope adds warmth!
The finale fragrance is called Kayali Elixir and seems the most complex and perhaps the darkest with rose, sambac, and patchouli!
The bottles are $118 each ($95 on sale) and I had a gift card for $200 so, I ended up grabbing all four. EEP! I hope I love them!
