Yay or Nay: Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher

Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher launched a short time ago in three different scents and I have to admit as a fan of facial mists I was excited about these! This is a non-drying, alcohol-free formula that refreshes and conditions skin. It can be used on the body or on the face and is available in three scents of Acia Berry, Rose Water, and Almond Milk.

Sounds awesome right?

Have you tried them?

Yay or Nay?

Makeup Revolution Halloween 2017 Arrives

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I can’t believe that September is almost over and October is upcoming! I guess shopping Makeup Revolution Halloween 2017 now would be a good idea yes? Because if October goes as fast as September did that means Halloween will be here before you know it.

I’m not sure what I’m going to be for Halloween this year! Dilemma! What about you? Any good costume ideas? Do share them!

Speaking of Halloween I was lucky enough to finally score the Hyde and Eek! Skull & Brain Candy Bowl or as I call it cookie jar at Target. You can’t even understand how happy I was to find this after hunting around various Target stores for it the last two weeks. Obsessed much? That’s me!

But back to the Makeup Revolution Halloween 2017 offerings!

Benefit The Complexionista Is Too Cute!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Take a look at the too cute Benefit The Complexionista Palette ($32) that’s available for a limited time this season. This contains Dandelion Twinkle which is a nude pink highlighting powder as well as Watt’s Up Highlighter and a Hoola Lit to add a touch of warm to fair skin. You’ll also get two Boi-ing Concealer shades in 1 and 2 and of course, Benefit includes a tips and tricks sheet for placement of each of the products in this set.

It’s a cute selection of products to brighten up your complexion or as a beginners contouring kit.

The art work reminds me of the old Stila Girls Palettes. Remember those? God, I used to adore those (and still have them in my makeup vault).

Benefit The Complexionista is available now at Sephora.com.

Philosophy Holiday 2017 Brings New 3-in-1 Shower Gels

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Philosophy Holiday 2017 arrived today and it brings us some new scented 3-in-1 Shower Gels like Holiday Pajamas! Thankfully, I’m not too tempted as my shower gel obsession hasn’t taken control of my life lately. I feel good about that, even proud!

Anyway, Philosophy Holiday 2017 does have a few new tricks and gift sets to look forward to. I was hoping their new latest scents, Amazing Grace Ballet and Pure Grace Nude Rose, would make an appearance in some new Holiday gift set but sadly, I’m not seeing anything along those lines. Which reminds me of better days for Philosophy when their gift sets used to come in such cute boxes and they had a slew of shower gels available.

None the less, there’s still some good offerings to be had.

Here’s the details!

Do You Prefer Mid-Range, High-End, Drugstore, or Indie Makeup?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I used to be a high-end makeup h0r. Givency, Dior, you name it and I was on it like wildfire. When I started Musings of a Muse I was all about higher-end makeup brands and Asian beauty particularly Japanese drugstore makeup brands.

I’ve since evolved and I blame that mostly on this blog. When you blog beauty and makeup you end up discovering a vast ocean of different brands from both high-end to mid-range, drugstore, and indie brands.

Do you prefer mid-range, high-end, drugstore, or indie makeup?
