These Two J.One Skincare Products Need to Come Home With Me

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I have my little eye on J.One Jelly Cream and J.One Black Jelly Pack because I suddenly I started using J.One Jelly Pack a few months ago and it’s became my go to Gloria Swanson facial primer.

There may be moments after application where I stare into the mirror, with my head tilted back, and I mutter to myself, “Alright, Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up…” Seriously, J.One Jelly Pack is like what sellotape is to Hollywood. It’s like instant lift glue in a bottle. It’s tacky, sticky, and takes some getting used to but it literally smooths and firms skin in a rather dramatic way. At first I hated it but I’m gotten used to it over time and I actually really like it. If you apply it correctly it’ll give skin an instant lift and makes it quite smooth. I wouldn’t say I have a loss of elasticity yet but I feel like I’m developing marionette lines and this makes the skin around my mouth look so much more lifted and smoother. If you are experiencing loss of elasticity this is an excellent primer to pick up!

Anyway, that’s the reason I want to try the J.One Jelly Cream and J.One Black Jelly Pack!

Sephora’s New Spring Launches Will Remind You of Strawberry Shortcake!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Sephora Berry Kissable Brush Set and Wild Bunch Sponge Set might be a hint at a Berry cute Spring Collection to come. Earlier this morning, the Wild Bunch Sponge Set ($16) arrived on their site packaged up in an adorable strawberry carton that includes four bright red blending brushes. There’s also a new Sehora Berry Kissable Brush Set ($48) brush set that features a cute selection of makeup brushes that have strawberry ice cream printed handles. You get five brushes that come packed up into a lip-shaped pouch that includes a Foundation, Angled Blush, Crease, All Over Eyeshadow Brush, and Double-Ended Brow Spoolie. P.S. Is it me or do the bristles look like they have a tinge of red? Imagine if they smelled like strawberries too? OMG! Bringing my Strawberry Shortcake childhood back to life!

I have hopes that this cute berry selection of products might mean they’ll release an eyeshadow palette in reddish and pink shades. Everyone seems to be embracing red eyeshadow lately and I can’t get enough of it as typically such a color seems reserved for Asian brand releases and it rarely makes an appearance in the Western market. Earlier last month, Colourpop releases a stunning red themed collection and also, Sugar Pill’s adorable Feline Fancy Set embraces red not to mention the lovely Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette. I hope we’ll see more red this year.

Do you like the red trend?

Can you wear the shade?

NYX Didn’t Cut It But Will Sephora Polish Up Silicone Brush Cleansing Pad Do It?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

So, I hated the NYX On the Spot Brush Cleansing Pad. I’m so sorry. I’m wondering if the Sephora Polish Up Silicone Brush Cleansing Pad might catch my interest? I have my doubts because I love my Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette so much. NYX’s version was a little difficult to use for me and I didn’t love how the fit was in my hand. I liked that the Real Technique’s version had a little bit of a well to it that I could splash my brushes around it as I scrubbed.

You can slide this on your hand and buff away but the lack of a well means you might lose some suds and cleansing gel as your work. But hey, NYX is cheaper at $10 bucks where as Sephora’s version is $14.

As for me, I’m sticking with my Real Technique’s version!

How about you?

What tools are using to clean your brushes?

Have you tried the Sephora version? Or the NYX one? What did you think?

Do share!

Between you and I, what I really NEED is one of those Lilumia 2 Makeup Brush Cleaner Device. It’s the Jorge Jetson of makeup brush cleansers! Totally does the work for you with the click of a button.

E.L.F. Massaging Eye Wand for Days You Need a Depuff Sesh

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I have a cold today so my eyes are all kinds of puffy and one can hope the E.L.F. Massaging Eye Wand ($25) might help. These eye wands are all the rage at the moment! Foreo has one as well but it’ll set you back $139 so, maybe that $25 for the E.L.F. Cosmetics’ version doesn’t have you cringing too hard. But let’s be honest, we expect all things cheap and budget friendly from E.L.F. so when I slap a $25 price tag on something from them I can hear a collective sigh of horror.

None the less, I still want to try this little gadget. Basically you can use it with your fav eye creams and serums the gentle vibrations from the device allow your eye cream to absorb more fully plus it gives you a gentle massage which acts to depuff those tired eyes. I’m one of those people that think devices like this are so freaking cool and how they’ll help me so much with my eye cream application. But I end up having a honeymoon period with it and slowly become lazy about using it nightly.

Bad Muse, bad!

None the less totally want to try this one.

E.L.F. Massaging Eye Wand is available now at www.elfcosmetics.com.

I need to all the deets if you tried it already so do dish! That will make or break my purchase if you tell me it was horribly bad or totally holy grail status!

Clarisonic Sonic Foundation Brush Will Turn Your Clarisonic Into a Makeup Tool!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Clarisonic Sonic Foundation Brush ($35) is completely compatible with your current Clarisonic Skin Cleansing Brush and will turn it into a makeup tool. This new brush can be snapped onto any your Mia 1, Mia 2, Mia FIT, and Smart Profile and basically turns it into a makeup brush.

The soft bristled brush uses Clarisonic’s oscillation technology to generate more than 18,000 micro-blends per minute which breaks down foundations and allows for flawless, full, natural coverage. The brush bristles are designed to not absorb your foundation but to apply in effortlessly onto your skin while perfecting coverage for a flawless finish. You can use it with nay of your favorite foundation formulas, BB Creams, or even color correctors, highlighters, and contouring creams.

I’ve reviewed similar products like this in the past suck as the Doll 10 Beauty Blend Smart Rotating Makeup Brush System which I’m quite a fond fan of. It’s weird for me to rave an electronic brush for foundation application since I tend to stick to my fingers for most base product application. But I really like the way these brushes break down foundation and give it a more natural, lighter feel and look.

Clarisonic Sonic Foundation Brush is available for pre-order now at clarisonic.com and is now available at ulta.com and sephora.com soon.

Will you be trying it?

Do share your thoughts!
