Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color ($29) is a new lipstick that promises to give you that just kissed stained effect. Am I completely loco or does anyone else actually like the way your lips look when you’ve nibbled off your lipstick yet some still remains. It’s kind of that Kim Basinger Mickey Rourke kissed me too hard look. Granted, that was when Mickey was actually cute and swoon-worthy. Nowadays, well, not so much.

Anyway, that’s the idea behind Bobbi Brown Crushed Lipstick. It’s a soft matte finish with a highly pigmented formula that gives a blotted down staining effect.

It’s available in twenty shades and I absolutely need Telluride, Cherry, and Plum (pictured above).

Granted, I have my doubts it’ll turn me into Kim Basinger circa 1986 but a girl can dream.

The beauty world appears to have moved on from it’s Lisa Frank style fascination with unicorns in favor of mermaids. One wonders what new mystical creature will strike for Fall! I’m all about some sort of Medusa, Shelob, Cthulhu trend. But seriously, what could possibly be next? Lucky enough, Starbucks didn’t go crazy creating some mermaid drink! If they did, I’d have feared for the lives of their baristas who were just about ready to toss in the hat after the Unicorn Drink chaos.

I’m sitting here squinting at my screen playing Sherlock trying to get the names down right. Either way, they don’t appear to be names I’m familiar with so, I guess the shades will be new. Although, I’m doubtful they’ll be truly unique colors.

The Tarte Blush Book 3 is part of the Tarte Holiday 2017 Collection and considering last year the Blush Book landed on the 23rd of August there’s a mighty big chance we could see this as soon as next week!

I thought I’d do a round up post of some Fall beauty, makeup, and home goodies to get you in the mood for the season. At this point you’re either rolling your eyes and muttering that I shouldn’t wish the Summer away or you’re tossing kindle into a bonfire in your backyard, dancing around it, and yelling “All Hail Pumpkin Spice Everything!” Not that I’ve ever done that in my life, maybe once, no, wait, that wasn’t me a friend of a friend of a friend’s cousin did that.

Ok, so has anyone ever noticed that everyone who snaps a photo of their vanity or does a video on youTube has that cute little blinking girl cup holding their makeup brushes? I THINK Sonia Kashuk released one two or three seasons ago but I guess I missed it.

Anyway, I also heard chatter about it being available at TJMaxx but I never found one. Keep in mind, that I’m like Indiana Jones storming the Temple of Doom when I go to Home Goods or TJMaxx. No one, I mean no one better get in my way when I’m hunting out some cute little box, vase, or coffee mug. Mine, mine, mine!

I’m happy to report, although expensive, I can now get my hands on that little cup for some of my commonly used makeup brush essentials! Nordstrom.com has it for twenty bucks! I admit to purchasing two, one for either side of my vanity.
