Sephora Beauty Amplifier Lid and Liner Primer for Oily Lids

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sephora Beauty Amplifier Lid and Liner Primer

I can’t say I have oily lids but no worries I have my own set of skincare issues to contend with! But those who do have oily lids might want to check out Sephora Beauty Amplifier Lid and Liner Primer ($12) which is a powder eye primer that creates a smooth, matte surface for eyeliner and eyeshadow to adhere to. Basically it absorbs excess oil so, eyeshadows apply more easily plus they have a smooth finish to adhere to which results in longer wear and less creasing.

Yes, I’m already thinking what you’re thinking. I read minds as a hobby. You’re thinking plain old powder will do the same thing.

My thoughts exactly!

🙂

But I will say that I’m intrigued by this product because I was wondering if it might work as a brightening base or even a setting powder and brighten for concealer?

Hmmmmm!

It might not come home with me for the mattifying action but it might just come home with me if it proves brightening at all!

Get it at Sephora.com.

Milk Makeup Holographic Stick for Strobing I Don’t Need

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Milk Makeup Holographic Stick

You can file Milk Makeup Holographic Stick under makeup I don’t really need but I just want because it looks cool and stuff. As a complete and utter Star Trek fan girl I can’t help but feel like this is something you’d find in Uhura’s makeup bag! Uhura would totally be on board with the strobing trend!

This gel highlighter stick can be used on cheeks, lips, eyes, or even your body to create a gorgeous holographic finish. Apparently, it’s loaded with meteorite powder, see I told you Uhura would dig it, as well as twilight pearls that create a prismatic effect. It’s actually formulated with mango butter and avocado oil which gives it an easy glide on skin and even hydrates lightly. P.S. the color is a hyped up iridescent lavender, I have a feeling if I didn’t sell you on it before that the mention of purple had to capture your attention. Am I right?

I so don’t need it but I kind of want it. Let’s not forget I tend to avoid highlighters as they are like a disco ball for my fuller face! Ahhh the life of a makeup addict.

Available now at Sephora.com.

Dior Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Perfume for Fall 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

miss dior absolutely blooming

Dior Blooming Bouquet launched exclusively at Nordstrom in 2011 and I recall hauling two bottles. Much to my delight the new Dior Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Perfume for Fall 2016 arrives just in time, yet again, for the 2016 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Of course, since 2011, Blooming Bouquet has since become a permanent part of Dior’s fragrance collection (thank god). As you may already know I have a love/hate relationship with Miss Dior Cherie so, Blooming Bouquet was a refreshing retake of that darker gourmand with sparkling, fresh, clean floral notes and a hint of sweetness!

Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming comes at us with a burst of juicy red berry accord follows by rose and peony and a simple yet clean white musk base! Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is an easy blind purchase if you can’t get to Nordstrom’s for a purchase. Or at least I think it will be!

She’s available in two sizes of 1.7 oz and 3.4 oz with prices of $94 and $124 at Nordstrom.com and in stores.

Is she coming home with you?

Do You Look In Your Friend’s Cabinets When You Use Their Bathroom?

sneaky

I remember very vividly visiting my great aunt’s house at around five year’s old, using her bathroom, and proceeding to go through all her cabinets. She had this Pepto Bismo pink bathroom and I recall peeing and sneaking peeks of stuff that was stored away in a cabinet under her sink which happened to be right next to the commode. I also recall I must have been in there literally ages because my mom was knocking on the door at least twice asking me what I was doing.

Memories are weird right? What a strange thing to recall!

The other night I was laying in bed watching the last two episodes of Gotham (because I’m THAT behind on TV) with my best friend and the conversation was along the lines of this:

Him: I need to take a leak!
Me: TMI, you don’t need to announce it or ask, just go!
Him: Be right back!
Me: Ok!

At this point, Cory Michael Smith was on screen in a absurd suit looking all kinds of hot. That manic smile, those chocolate brown eyes, those glasses, the riddles, a girl was about to swoon and burst into flames. And P.S. Did you know he dated the Mother of Dragons? Not Riddler, Cory Michael Smith, although Riddler and Dany cross fandomation is perfectly ok for me. If you’re listening fan fiction authors please get on that.

Anyway, I was eager to get back to all things Riddler but my friend was taking literally ages to come out of the bathroom.

So the conversation was along the lines of:

Me, Yelling: What the hell are you doing in there?
Him: Going through your cabinets! Why do you have foot spray?

Moral of the story, I obviously have nosy friends….!

Oh, P.S. That foot spray story is for another day and another post!
