New Revlon Colorstay Long Wear Liquid Eyeliners for Summer 2016

Revlon Colorstay Ball Point Liquid Eye Pen

Revlon has a round of new Colorstay Liquid Eye Pens launching for Summer 2016. They are repromoting their classic Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner in this collection along with two new version one of which has a triple edge point for more dramatic looks and the other is a ball point which has a tiny ball point to dot and fill for easy lining.

I think the Revlon Colorstay Ball Point Liquid Eye Pen is probably the most interesting liner in this collection. It kind of reminds me the Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool and Clarins 3-Dot Liner which launched back in 2012. These made using liquid liner very easy for those of us that a bit klutzy with liquid eyeliners or for beginners.

After all these years, I still haven’t masted liquid eyeliner! I’m good with gel but notice I never wear it anywhere but on my waterline in my of my photos because I always feel too made up if I use eyeshadow and eyeliner. It’s like drag queen mode activated when I try. Typically, if I’m going to use black gel eyeliner on my upper lash line I avoid using eyeshadow and go pretty bare on my lid.

I imagine there’s some madness to my methods.

By the way, I’ll leave this right here to keep your Monday upbeat!

6 New Japanese and Korean Makeup Products To Get Excited About

korean and japanese makeup

All is quiet on the US makeup world lately! I think the most hyped up products in the last few months have been the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette and Lipsticks, and the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick.

Outside of these releases, I feel like things have been very, very quite on the makeup and beauty front. Especially at drugstores, as last year I recall many Spring/Summer releases being available early in April and so far the only major release at the drugstore has been the Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks.

But no worries, I’m sure plenty is on the horizon! I’m already hearing about plenty of new Maybelline goodies. Plus I’m hoping for the L’Oreal Cushion Blushes to get a launch here in the US.

Interesting enough Japan and Korea has been a little quiet lately too but here are 5 new Japanese and Korean makeup products to get excited about. I’m particularly excited about the new Etude House Lipsticks so keep your eye on those!

Hit or Miss: L’Oreal Voluminous, Eva Longoria Made Me Want It

l'oreal mascara

I’m trying to think back to a time I tried L’Oreal Voluminous. I just remembering disliking it but never actually trying it. Is that weird? Brain fart! Recently, I was reading Cosmo or maybe it was Vogue and Eva Langoria was in a L’Oreal Voluminous ad with her dark, inky, long lashes splashed all over the entire page and there was a blurb about it being one of L’Oreal’s bestselling mascara.

Suddenly, Eva made me want it. Or maybe it was L’Oreal who made me want it! I hear bestselling or limited edition and I’m like Pavlov’s dogs!

But I’ve always associated Voluminous with Maybelline Great Lash. Lots of hype, no substance.

So, I’ve decided to make it my mission to re-try out L’Oreal Voluminous because 1. I can’t recall using it! 2. I can’t recall using it and if I did try it I can’t recall if liked it or didn’t like it! and 3. Why the heck not? It’s cheap! Maybe it’ll blow my mind!

What about you?

Is L’Oreal Voluminous a hit, a miss, or maybe you just can’t remember using it?

In that case, we may all need to check into a nursing home.

Finger Licking Good Nail Polish from KFC

KFC Nail Polish

I’m sorry, by now you already know about KFC Nail Polish bit I couldn’t pass up the chance to name a post “Finger Licking Good Nail Polish”. It begged to be published.

Around these parts we aren’t terribly surprised by weird and unusual nail polishes are we? Let’s see! There’s been a jizz nail polish, a booty nail polish, does the new spray on nail polish trend count as unusual? Probably not after jizz and Kentucky Fried Chicken right?

If you’re living under a rock, simply don’t care about nail polish trends, or you’re not a fond fan of KFC you may have not heard of the KFC Nail Polish Collection that’s launching in China. Let’s face it, everything beauty cool launches in Asia including nail polish that tastes like a big old hunk of greasy, crispy chicken.

The new KFC polish is available in Original Recipe and Hot and Spicy flavors. I’m a hot and spicy kind of girl so I’d totally go for that! Plus I really like the burnt orange shade versus the boring beige of the original recipe.

Whether or not the Colonel’s 11 herbs and spices are floating around in these polishes is questionable but they do indeed taste realistically like KFC.
