What Was Your Last Blind Fragrance Purchase?

blind buy fragrance

What was your last blind fragrance purchase? Or do you eve blind buy fragrance? I do. I admit it. I don’t necessarily need to smell to know if I’ll like it or not. I’m typically pretty lucky with online fragrance purchases.

The thing is, I don’t like being overwhelmed at fragrance counters. I think people that work in fragrance are even MORE aggressive than ones that work in makeup. I typically leave Neiman Marcus smelling like a weirdo because everyone and their mom misted me with the latest and greatest fragrance when I was just there to smell one single thing. For example, I recently went in to smell the new Jo Malone Herb Garden Collection because my friend Justin expressed loving them so much. I was very quietly sitting in front of the display and trying to get a feel for the fragrance when suddenly, out of nowhere, there separate people tried selling me three other fragrances I wasn’t even interested in. Sadly, I was unable to complete my Herb Garden experience or purchase because I hightailed it out of there since they were so very aggressive.

This is why stores, in my opinion, lose sales. Slow and steady wins the race people! Needless to say, this is why I tend to blind buy fragrances online!

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Essentials Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Essentials Matte Luxe Transforming Palette

The It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Essentials Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette ($28) is a new Spring 2016 eyeshadow palette that contains six shades of It Cosmetics Matte Eyeshadow. If you already own and love the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Must-Have Eye Set you likely felt this was a very similar palette as they do look very much the same. However, the Naturally Pretty Essentials Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette doesn’t contain any of the shades that appear in that set.

It Cosmetics has three larger palettes that have launch which include 15 shades each and one smaller seven shade palette that launched, actually two now if you count this new palette. Across all those palettes you’ll find variations of the shades included in the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Essentials Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette so unless you’re looking for a travel-friendly palette you might not necessarily need this palette as an It Girl. However, if you aren’t yet a fan of It Cosmetics or if you’re just starting to get into matte eyeshadows, this is a nice way to introduce yourself to both. Especially since It Cosmetics does some very, very good mattes with soft, silky consistencies that are very easy to apply, blend, and wear.

Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palettes for Summer 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Stila Perfect Me Perfect Eye Palette

I can’t express how much I’m loving the Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palettes ($39) that launched for Summer 2016. These palettes are created with four skin tones in mind and have a selection of flattering shades of color for cheeks and eyes that will suit a particular skin tone. Each palette contains two blushes and give eyeshadows each in matte, shimmer, and pearl finishes.

Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palette

But of course, I have my eye on one of the palettes that isn’t for my skin tone but hey, who cares! I’m of the mentality I wear what I feel comfortable in. There are no rules in the makeup world right?

Maybelline Master Fix Wear-Boosting Setting Spray Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Maybelline Master Fix Wear-Boosting Setting Spray

Maybelline Master Fix Wear-Boosting Setting Spray ($12.99) is a new lightweight, quick to dry makeup setting spray that launched a few months with the Maybelline Spring 2016 Collection. Unfortunately, this product isn’t quite sure what it is. Fix? Setting Spray? Both? The name implies that it is a setting spray, yet marketing claims it fixes makeup for all day wear plus the fact part of the name reads, “Master Fix” and things get a little confusing.

Technically, fix and setting sprays are two different things so here’s what I learned when using Maybelline’s formula.
