Do I need the Jones Road The Makeup Travel Kit? Yes, according to my makeup packing history I do! I’m headed on vacation soon and I decided that I am NOT going to go crazy packing a ton of makeup. Amazon has sort of been my go to lately for scoring some beauty staples. It’s just easy to hit up Amazon, add to cart, and have it waiting for me when I get home from work (or at the latest the next day). Mind you, like any lover of beauty I do prefer going to beauty sources like Ulta or Sephora but Amazon fits the bill sometimes when I need a quickie restock!

So, I’m old. Or at least Tiktok continues to enforce and reinforce the fact I’m old because they keep serving me up these old commercial complications featuring toys, makeup, and even fast food from my youth. And I don’t know if I’m feeling nostalgic or downright weird, but I’m sort of obsessed with watching them! I’ve already confessed that I can spend hours watching old vintage makeup commercials on youTube. And now I’m equally obsessed with fast food ones, toy ones, etc…

You may or may not know this about, but I’m a huge fan of Donovan (He follows me on Twitter! Just throwing out my claim to fame for you! Also, I met him twice, and it was brilliant!). The man is a legend and a study of how great music can come from the recreational use of psychedelic drugs. I’m entirely joking; please don’t get offended. He references somewhat indirectly his LSD usage in his lyrics. You can’t run around creating songs like Yellow Mellow and not think they aren’t related to some trippy moment in your life. We all know it wasn’t meditation that had you feeling all yellow mellow. In all seriousness, I am a rather big fan of his music and I’m not quite old enough to remember the commercials but his music was featured in a lot of Love Commercials. Love’s Fresh Lemon and for example. I remember my sister used Love’s Baby Soft! A few years ago I tried to recreate that memory and purchased a bottle but it doesn’t smell AT ALL the way it did back then! Dana is still around and selling fragrances. Crazy world, right?

But anyway, I digress and I feel weird admitting this beauty secret to you but I recently saw one of those retro commercial reels on Tiktok and they featured this deodorant and wow, I forgot how much I loved it and now I miss it.

It has been at least five hundred years since I purchased a razor created for women. Yeah, that’s my dirty little secret! I shave with men’s razors! GASP! I just find I get a way better and closer shave with them! Sorry not sorry. But I spent $8.62 recently on a Schick Intuition Razor recently. Ya know, the ones with the little bar of soap that surrounds the razor? I haven’t used one of these in ages. It pretty much eliminates the need for shaving gel as it has a moisturizing bar of soap attached to the razor that glides across your skin as you shave. This razor was hecka innovative at the time of release but eh, it didn’t really age well for me. It’s an good razor but I prefer my manly man razors LOL!

I was tempted recently though by the Schick Intuition Lemon Berry Breeze Razor! I suddenly need everything and all things lemon in my shower! I guess Summer has me in the mood for lemon! I dunno but this razor decided to make its way into my cart and I don’t regret it. It really does have a fun lemony berry fragrance! I got all wild and crazy and did a whole lemon shower routine when I used it. Bath and Body Works Lemon Poundcake Shower Gel, a little Lemon Up Shampoo and Conditioner, a bit of favorite Tree Hut Candied Lemon Scrub, things were getting mighty sunshine-y in my shower!

You probably don’t need this razor in your life if you already have that big old super size box you brought at Costco last week! But if you’re a fan of Schick Intuition Razors you might want to grab this! It’s available on Amazon for your Summer shower needs!
