The Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale started, and I didn’t have time to head to a store this week as life has been crazy busy. But I did have a second to browse the website, and sadly, I forgot entirely about the sale when I saw there are not one but three new Summer 2024 Pink Fragrance Mists, and one of them is Cotton Candy! STHU and take all my money. So, lately, Pink has been knocking it out of the park with its fragrance releases! Remember the Warm Vanilla Body Mist and Sugar Sky? There have been quite a few others as well! Their scents have been really fun lately.

The newest Summer 2024 scents are Cotton Candy, Peach Swirl, and Rocket Pop. Yes, I know, I was thinking Rocket Pop would be a Bath and Body Works Firecracker Pop but I’ve learned Victoria’s Secret does do their own, unique blends and aren’t over there duping BBW stuff. All three of these scents are right in my wheelhouse but Cotton Candy sounds like the one I’ll love the most.

Pink Cotton Candy Body Mist notes:

• Strawberry Sugar
• Fluffy Vanilla
• Boardwalk Air

Rocket Pop Candy Body Mist notes:

• Cherry Ice
• Sunshine Lemon
• Blue Raspberry

Peach Swirl Body Mist notes:

• White Peach
• Whipped Coconut
• Tan Lines

These new scents are available now. Sadly, they aren’t part of the Semi-Annual Sale but maybe later in the month they will be! Right now they are 2 for $18.

Well, Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar just launched a few short weeks ago, and we can expect four new Summer 2024 Fragrances very soon!  Kayali is already dropping hints on their Instagram account of the latest limited-edition Summer scents, which will be Ylang Coco 2000 Maldives in a Bottle, Sweet Banana 37 Maui in a Bottle, Orange Blossom 24 Marrakesh in a Bottle, and Lemon Sugar 14 Capri in a Bottle according to fragrancity on Instagram. They’ll be a set with all four, but I’m unsure if they’ll also release full-size bottles. I suspect we’ll see smaller ones but I could be wrong.

These sound amazing, but I can’t entirely trust Kayali lately as they market a fragrance heavily on specific notes, but that fragrance ends up smelling NOTHING like I’m imagining. Their marketing has burnt me too many times, and I have to be more careful when making my purchase. I mean, Sweet Banana? Sure, sign me up! I’d love a banana scent, but I know Kayali they’ll drop in patchouli and amber or some other notes that overpower the banana. I think Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar is an excellent example of that. Smells nothing like vanilla or rock candy to my nose.

Four scents is a rather large launch for Summer but Kayali is taking full advantage of their current viral status and striking while the iron is hot with all these new releases. They’ve launched several fragrances over the last few months. I imagine we’ll hear about another new scent for Fall 2024 as soon as mid-August. Maybe they’ll make all our gourmand wishes come true and do some sort of pumpkin or coffee fragrance. By bet is on coffee..!

Freck Beauty Rich Bitch Hydrating Gripping Primer ($38) is a newish gripping cream-to-oil primer that promises to lock down makeup. This bad boy has been out of stock at sephora.com for the last two centuries, and I’ve been trying to snag it for a while now as I was too cheap to order it from the brand’s website as they have a minimal $50 shipping threshold. None of my stores had it in stock, so getting to try this seemed bleak. Fast forward to around Christmas, and a local store finally got it in stock, so I did a quickie order online and picked it up.

Truly, this is one of my biggest regrets in a while. I’ve made a few bad choices but this one has me shaking my head. What a waste of $38. Do not buy this.

I have a feeling even Media would approve of Bodycology Sunkissed Lemon 2-in-1 Body Wash & Bubble Bath, I know I do! I went to the evil empire several days ago and I picked up the new Sunkissed Lemon Body Wash and I’ve been happily using it daily since! I still emotionally distressed that the Bodycology Sun Kissed Lemons Sugar Scrub, Bodycology Fragrance Body Mist, and Body Cream were all opened and gross because I’d have loved to had gotten those too. People of the beauty world can we stop drugstore products and makeup? It’s gross and some of us want to buy an unused body cream that hasn’t been squeezed within an each of it’s shelf life.
