Viseart Theory Palette for Spring 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Viseart Theory Palette

The Viseart Theory Palette ($45) are up and available at Sephora.com so if you’re looking to score something awesome during the last day of the Sephora 15% off sale these are a good place to start.

These six piece palettes contain a mix of matte and shimmer eyeshadows with removable pans that folds up into an easel for easy application. I actually haven’t tried Viseart yet but the raving reviews have me curious about the formula which has been described as quite silky.

Shades:

  • Cashmere
  • Minx
  • Chroma

Have you hauled one?

Do share if you used it yet!

I just popped Minx in my final sale cart!

Have You Been a Victim of Poor Makeup Promotional Images?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

So, you know how I’m always like, “OMG I can’t wear glowy highlighters on my fuller face!” But I have to admit that I have a serious addiction to glowy blushes. NARS Orgasm, Milani Blossomtime Rose Powder Blush (as seen below on my cheeks), Sephora Double Contouring Blush, these are just a few of my favorite blushes that give me a gorgeous, radiant glow.

I was browsing Sephora, as I have been known to do, and I came across the new Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow and instantly clicked on the link. New glow blush? By Kevyn Aucoin? I’m so on that.

Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow

So glow for me implies some radiant or luminous finish. According to the description, it’s a lightweight powder blush that brings a soft wash of color to cheeks with a warm glow.

Ok…

But dude, the promo images are boring.

I’m wondering if I should pick up Fira, which looks like a rather delightful corally orange and see how much “glow” we’re talking about here.

Is it possible Kevyn Aucoin’s The Pure Powder Glow is a victim of bad promo images?

Has it happened to you before?

You’re shopping online, and the description of some new makeup item sounds AMAZING but…

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion3

If you’re not using an essence you should be and if you’re not using The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion ($24) you should be. Because it’s a good place to start on the essence path! It’ll be skincare life changing I promise.

Any good Korean lady or lad can tell you that at the heart of their skincare regime is essence. Now essence isn’t a toner, that’s what everyone automaitcally assumes and I’m hear to tell you it isn’t because typically essence products are thicker, more moisturizing, and have better ingredients than a mere toner such as hyaluronic acid. It’s a product you want to start with, it’s a product that acts as the base of your entire skincare routine. It’s a product that adds moisture, helps moisturizer absorb more easily, and helps skin retain that moisture.

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion is a new and unique take on essence.

Are You Most Comfortable With Makeup Or Without It?

makeup or no makeup

Ahh the age old question, are you most comfortable with makeup or without it?

I don’t know who you are, what sex you are, what nationality. I don’t know if you’re slim, tall, chuubby, or short. I don’t know if you’re blond or brunette or perhaps a red head. What I do know is you likely have at least one thing that you might just dislike about yourself or something that makes you uncomfortable or insecure. It’s just life. Now I’m personally quite special because I have a MILLION things I don’t like about myself.

My eyebrows, my big giant eyes, my height, my super wavy out of control hair, my puffy eyes, and the list goes on and on and on.

But makeup always makes me feel a little more confident, a little more comfortable, and a little more secure.

Question is, am I most comfortable with makeup or without it?
