Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer ($20) is a new, permanent serum concealer which promises high coverage in an ultra light formula that conceals dark circles and other imperfections. It’s formulated with high-def mineral optics to counteract dark shadows and give eyes a more brighter appearance as well as hydrating humectants to leave skin nourished and hydrated.

Serum concealers are having their moment in the spotlight lately with even Sephora getting in on the game! It doesn’t surprise me considering serum foundations had a little bit of a trend over the course of the last few years. I’m actually not a fan of serum foundation as they feel slick and oily to me. You’d think as someone with drier skin I’d like serum foundation but nope, not for me! But I had to qualms about trying out serum concealer as my eyes are as dry as the Sahara Desert no bring it!

E.L.F. Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

E.L.F. Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint

E.L.F. Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint ($6) is one of those lip tints you’re going to really love or really hate. E.L.F. Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint is formulated to react with the chemistry of your lips to create a personalized shade of pink. I know, I know, you’re likely not buying into that after all these years of brands telling you about your “perfect shade of pink”.

There’s Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint, Diorglow Dior Addict Lip Glow, Catrice Tinted Lip Glow Balm, and the list goes on and on and on. Most of these color changing lip tint treatments aren’t a universally flatter shade but more of a bubblegum pink no matter your skin tone or body chemistry. But none the less many of flock towards them like seagulls. And it is understandable as we somehow desire just a quickie way to get some color on our lips and go. At least that’s the case for me as I’m kinda sorta lazy about retouching up with lipstick or gloss but give me a quick lip tint or balm I can tuck into my desk drawer and I can easily swipe it on for a little color.

Does Knowing About Holiday Makeup Collections Ahead of Time Ruin Things for You?

Holiday makeup

I was talking to Dustin Hunter today about how technically it really isn’t Fall yet. With weather ranging in the 90’s and humidity thick enough to cut with a knife I should know better but lord knows I’ve been decorating my home with a ton of Fall stuff the last few days and there’s no end in sight. Fall seems like it goes by a little too quickly for me. Maybe it’s because I love the season but for me it just passes by very quickly. So, of course, I like to get my Fall decor up as early as possible and enjoy it as much as I can before the long hard Winter arrives.

Funny thing as when I should be rejoicing in Fall makeup collections I’m more about racing around and preparing for Holiday 2015 Makeup Collections. Funnier still is the fact that so many Instagram accounts have been posting Holiday Sneak Peeks since as early as the end of July.

Ouch!

So I was wondering, Does Knowing About Holiday Makeup Collections Ahead of Time Ruin Things for You?

Laura Mercier Fall in Luxe Colour Collection

Laura Mercier Fall in Luxe Colour Collection

I’m always terribly tempted to grab up some of Laura Mercier’s limited edition sets that launch during the Fall and the Holidays! Problem? They are kinda outside my budget for indulging in a set. So my logic makes no sense because technically I have no problem spending $150 on random products at Sephora but present me with a full set of makeup at that price and I kinda back away from it.

Silly?

Possibly. But I never said I made much sense.
