The Hempz Holiday 2023 Collection has launched and I quickly snatched up a bottle of the new, limited-edition Hempz Vanilla Frosted Mountain Herbal Body Moisturizer because I need ALL the vanilla scented goodies. As always Fall seems rushed away and we’re on to the Holidays already! I mean, I’m literally just now using some of the Hempz Fall goodies and we’re already on Holiday stuff? I feel like I don’t even want to think about Holiday stuff yet or even Holiday shopping but it’s really forced on us hard as soon as mid-September hits.

Madonna groupies rejoice! Your Queen has a new makeup collection! Yes, there’s a Madonna Celebration Tour Makeup Collection and Too Faced Cosmetics founder, Jerrod Blandino, helped her create it. Jerrod and Madonna are besties for a while now and created a Madonna x Too Faced Madam X Tour Makeup Collection a few years ago. And Madonna did tap him again for her own makeup collection available exclusively on her website (and likely at her shows as well). The collection is rather small with the key piece being the Madonna Where’s The Party On-Stage Highlighter. The highlighter is actually REALLY cute as it features her little cartoon caricature from the film, “Who’s that Girl?” (Who could forget Murray!). The other pieces in the collection look a tad bit uneventful. Especially the lipstick which I felt for sure would be a way more vibrant iconic red for Madonna. The packaging is questionable in my opinion too! I hope I’m wrong but it looks a bit flimsy. I sure hope for $30 that the lipstick barrel has some weight behind it!

Time for report of my review of the new Tatcha The Indigo Cleansing Balm Moisturizing Makeup Remover that launched earlier this Summer. Yes, there is a Tatcha Cleansing Balm now and I couldn’t be more excited because it’s fragrance-free! Wahoo! It’s on sale this week with code THANKYOU23 if you have it on your wish list!
Tatcha The Indigo Cleansing Balm ($38) is a new, permanent release to the Tatcha Family that removes dirt, makeup, and oily easily and improves the skin’s barrier function with Japanese Indigo Extract while hydrating. When this launched the first thing that grabbed me was the fact it was fragrance-free. Tatcha’s products are quite lovely and the scent of their products is beautiful but for some odd reason, I don’t like their fragrance. It’s beautiful, very soothing, and spa-like but my nose and my skin don’t really love it. I’m normally one that embraces scented skincare and feels like it adds to the experience of using it but in my older age I’ve really begun to appreciate fragrance-free options more and more.
And when they say fragrance-free they REALLY mean fragrance-free. This smells like nothing at all. You know how sometimes you get a skincare product that says fragrance-free but there’s still some weird scent to it. Not necessarily a fragrance but sometimes you get an odd fragrance from it. This has absolutely no scent. It smells like absolutely nothing and I appreciate that fully.
