E.L.F. Cosmetics has been inching into the skincare world little by little but their latest $355 Million Dollar Deal to acquire Naturium might just make their skincare portfolio a little bigger. E.L.F.’s parent company has agreed to acquire Naturium for a reported $355 million dollars. The deal is expected to close at the end of September.
“We are thrilled to welcome Naturium to the E.L.F. Beauty family,” said Tarang Amin, E.l.f. Beauty’s chairman and chief executive officer is quoted as saying. “Nearing two decades in business, we continue to deliver exceptional results. In August, we raised our fiscal 2024 outlook after posting quarterly net sales growth of 76 percent, marking 18 consecutive quarters of more than 20 percent sales growth on average. E.L.F. Skin is one of the fastest-growing skin care brands, and Naturium joining E.L.F. Beauty presents a unique opportunity to significantly accelerate the potential we see in skin care.”
The deal won’t change Naturium’s roots in L.A. as they plan to keep the original staff and business operation within California. Naturium is already sold at Target and E.L.F. is one of the largest beauty brands at Target according to reports. Bringing the together seems a natural fit. E.L.F.’s also acquired W3LL People back in 2020.
I really like some of Naturium’s offerings. I wonder if we’ll see further growth from this after this transaction is complete.

Fenty Parfum Body Creme ($86) is dropping on September 1st just in time for the Fall 2023 season. This new, whipped oil body cream is scented like Fenty Perfume and promises to leave skin soft, hydrated, and scented with warm floral notes.
I’m surprisingly not a fan of Fenty Parfum. I shouldn’t be because I’m not a big floral girl anyway but I thought for sure it would be a love for me since everyone always says Riri is one of Hollywood’s best smelling celebs (hey, she uses Love, Don’t Be Shy so, I’m positive she smells like a snack!).
Sadly, Fenty Perfume isn’t a gourmand nor sweet. It’s a warm floral fragrance with notes of magnolia and musk unite with tangerine, Bulgarian rose, vanilla, blueberry, and hints of coconut and geranium. One of the more dominant notes of rose and it’s very pretty here but just not for me.
From the Reel they posted on Instagram this looks like the Butta Drop Whipped Oil Hydrating Body Cream formula. I love the Butta Drop formula! It absorbs easily, feels like an oil, but isn’t greasy nor tacky.

And we have yet another lip oil hitting the beauty streets for Fall 2023! Kaja Juicy Glass Lip Oil ($18) launched today in four shades. Lip oils are super trendy at the moment. I blame Tiktok as everyone and their mother promotes Dior Lip Glow Oil hardcore. I’m seeing so many ones for Fall 2023 and I don’t hate that. We got the Milani Nudes Collection, the Covergirl Yummy Gloss Daylight Collection, we got Milk Makeup Odyssey Hydrating Non-Sticky Lip Oil Gloss, we also, have the new Saie Glossybounce High-Shine Hydrating Lip Gloss Oil that just popped up and earlier this Summer NYX introduced Fat Oil Lip Drip Vegan Lip Oil (which I didn’t love! I felt the applicator ruined the formula!). So, it’s def been a solid run for lip oils lately.
I love seeing this because I feel like matte lips are so 2014 youTube era. I’ve always loved a good glossy lip look and it seems the beauty world has finally caught on that we don’t all want to sit around matte lipstick all day. Or at least I don’t! I find it terribly uncomfortable to wear.
