Marc Jacobs Beauty is set to make a comeback after the designer inked a licensing deal with Coty (P.S. Coty is not doing that great lately! I find it interesting this is where he decided to land). The original Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection launched back in 2013 and I remember being pretty darn excited about it but I feel like my taste in makeup has evolved and I’m not even sure I’m interested in the return of his makeup collection. And really, let’s be honest, will it even be at the same quality and performance as the original collection? Lately, it seems a lot of makeup formulas have really downgraded in quality and are charging more regardless.

Don’t get excited about the relaunch though because it’s not even in the infancy stages of a relaunch and it’ll be back in around two to three years. I feel like by that time I’ll have lost even more interest. That being said, perhaps by that time things in the economy will see a switch and it’ll be in a good position for the relaunch.

There’s no word if the original collection returns or if this will be a completely new lineup of items. I did enjoy Marc’s lipsticks and some of his palettes were quite good! I know his eyeliners were very popular as well and if they make a come back that will make quite a lot of people happy.

This news is something that will bring joy to fans of Marc Jacob Beauty I’m sure. Personally, I feel the beauty market is heavily saturated and I’m not sure I really need it to be back but I am glad for those who love it! As for me, I’m waiting for some Marc Jacob Splashes to come back! I really need them!

I am over the moon that Sabrina Carpenter has added to her Sweet Tooth Empire. As you may know, Sabrina launched a sweet, sugary gourmand fragrance called Sweet Tooth about a year ago. It’s quite a cute little fragrance that I really enjoyed. Much to my delight for the Fall 2023 season Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth Caramel Dream is now available at walmart.com! This is the second scent in the Sweet Tooth Collection and I’d just like to throw it out there I’ll be blind buying this and I’m totally up for more Sweet Tooth Fragrances (and maybe a body cream too thanks!).

The scent comes housed in a chocolate-bar shaped bottle like the original and contains notes of Caramelized Amber, Patchouli, Dark Chocolate Bean, Sugared Lemon, Orange Zest, Freesia, Vanilla, Dark Chocolate Bean, and Fluffy Musk. It’s available in a 1 oz EDP for $30 or a body spray for $10.

Acording to Steve Mormoris, Scent Beauty’s founder and chief executive officer. “It is one of the fastest-growing fragrances in the U.S. market, we’ve had phenomenal user reviews,” he said of the brand’s debut stock keeping unit, Sweet Tooth.

I think it’s understand considering Zoomers are promoting this scent so heavily on social platforms like Tiktok. Yeah, I feel old when I say I love this and Zoomers do too. But I do so love a sweet, sugary scent and Sweet Tooth really brought that to the table. It’s a cute fragrance that you can’t take too seriously if that makes any sense. I’m really quite eager to smell Caramel Dream which sounds a bit darker and more sultry!

Milk Makeup Pore Eclipse Matte Translucent Talc-Free Setting Powder ($32) is a new edition to the Pore Eclipse Collection which already includes a primer and and setting spray that will be available in September for Fall 2023. This promises a weightless, silky consistency that’s talc-free and acts to control shine, blur pores, and set your makeup with a smooth matte finish.

What sets it apart from other setting powders is it apparently contains Bakuchiol and Niacinamide. I find the addition of these ingredients in a powder intriguing but I wonder how much of it is actually in the formula and how beneficial it will be to your skin in this formulation. Technically, if you were powder you do wear it for anywhere between 8 to 12 hours a day which makes the addition of skincare-like ingredients in the formula very cool but I’m not really sure it it actually benefits much considering how little we put in our faces compared to say a serum or moisturizer that contains these ingredients.

Milk Makeup Pore Eclipse Matte Translucent Talc-Free Setting Powder will be available in four shades. I likely won’t try this as I avoid powder since I have drier skin! The only thing that would tempt me to check it out would be if they had a banana shade as I do use yellow powders under my eyes to set my concealer and brighten up my eye area.

Look what RMS Beauty is coming out with for Fall 2023! The new RMS Beauty ReDimension Hydra Dew Luminizer ($42) is going to be a quick pick up for fans of the gorgeous ReDimension Hydra Powder Blush! Available in a single shade called Prosecco Fizz which is a warm champagne shade this new re-fillable highlighter looks identical to the gel-to-powder formula the blushes have. The blushes are amazing and a favorite of mine. They have a smooth, silky surface and give cheeks a beautiful glow. I’m not a big highlighter girl but I can see myself grabbing this to try out with the blushes. It promises a long-wearing formula in the gel-to-powder formula we know and love and gives your face an incandescent glow.

I think part of the reason I’m excited about this is the highlighter game has really slowed down in the beauty world. A few years ago I felt like highlighters, contour products, and long-wear lipsticks were shoved in my face every other day. Highlighters aren’t as hyped as they used to be and I’m ok with that as when one does pop up (like the RMS Beauty ReDimension Hydra Dew Luminizer) I can feel excited enough to want to check it out.

The blushes do already have a glow on their own but I’m curious to see if this highlighter can boost that finish. The highlighter is a smidge more than the blushes which are $38 but the price jump isn’t too scary and huge. I probably don’t need another new highlighter but I’d be curious to swatch it should I run into it somehwere!
