5 stars out of 5

Cerave Ulta-Light Moisturizing Gel ($20.99) is a new weightless gel moisturizer that promises to provide long-lasting hydration throughout the day with a formula rich in ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. I immediately purchased this when I saw it launch at Ulta as we’re pretty deep into the Summer heat over here in New York and I’m always looking for lightweight moisturizers that wear well on their own or with my SPF. Plus I always feels like Summer is the season for gel moisturizers. Dry skin girls and guys will love this for Summer but oily skin ones will love this year round.

Holy Hydration! E.l.F. Off Makeup Remover Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
3 stars out of 5

The E.L.F. Holy Hydration! Collection has yet a new item that launched a few short weeks ago! The new Holy Hydration! E.l.F. Off Makeup Remover is a bi-phase makeup eye makeup remover that contains a hydration mix of hyaluronic acid and squalane. I am avid user of Lancome Bi-Facil and I love it but I’m always searching out cheaper options because I use eye makeup remover daily and I run through it pretty fast. Also, between you and I, I think Lancome changed the formula on Bi-Facil. I noticed the last few bottles I purchased have been struggling removing my waterproof mascara.

H&M Sues Shein Over Fashion Copycats

Beloved affordable fashion retailer, Shein, is being sued by H&M for copyright infringement. One questions how Shein hasn’t be sued already a dozen times over for copycat designs but hey, I guess it took H&M to do the dirty deed. H&M is accusing Shein of copying its designs in this lawsuit and is seeking unspecified damages and an injunction to stop Shein from infringing on its copyright and trademarks. I’m not sure which designs are in question and they are only listed as “sweaters and swimwear”. I always feel like H&M, New York and Co, etc…all seem to have the same designs but H&M isn’t having any of it with Shein.

“We believe that Shein in multiple cases has infringed on our designs and have therefore filed this lawsuit. As it is still an ongoing case, we choose not to comment further,” the brand is quoted as saying. The case has been ongoing since last Fall and the next hearing is coming up on July 31st.

“The brand has made billions by creating a secretive algorithm that astonishingly determines nascent fashion trends – and by coupling it with a corporate structure, including production and fulfillment schemes, that are perfectly executed to grease the wheels of the algorithm, including its unsavory and illegal aspects,” claimed artists Krista Perry, Larissa Martinez, and Jay Baron.

In a statement made to the The Independent, a spokesperson for Shein said: “SHEIN takes all claims of infringement seriously, and we take swift action when complaints are raised by valid IP rights holders. We will vigorously defend ourselves against this lawsuit and any claims that are without merit.”

This brings to mind a lot of fragrance dupes I see popping up. Dossier, Oakcha, etc…I was thinking to myself the other day how do they get away with duplicating such expensive, luxury perfumes and no one sues them for it?

I’ll bring you the latest news on the H&M and Shein Lawsuit as it progresses!

The MotherShip Has Landed As Pat Mcgrath Will Be Sold at Ulta

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Mother, is coming! Pat Mcgrath will not be sold at Ulta. Yup, Ulta! Pat Mcgrath Labs has made it official and is joining the Luxury Collections available at Ulta. Select Ulta stores will begin selling Pat Mcgrath bestsellers by the end of this month and will have a full assortment as soon as September online at ulta.com! Yeah, that means points and discounts on Pat Mcgrath! Wahooo!

“We are launching in their luxury concept, 200 doors, which is aligned with our brand positioning. Secondly, it enables us to connect with more customers nationally since we currently have a very selective distribution. It also allows us to target a new profile of customers which are largely Gen Z and suburban.”

According to reports Gen Z has a higher intent to purchase luxury products than other generations so the move to Ulta is in fact a smart one. Not to mention Ulta has been snapping up and collecting luxury brands for a while now as they compete against Sephora.

Some people love that Pat Mcgrath will be sold at Ulta stores and others aren’t particularly pleased about it. But facts are facts, Pat Mcgrath has made an appearance at TJ Maxx and Marshalls as of late so why not Ulta? It’s a perfect opportunity for the brand to get more exposure!

What do you think?
