Bobbi Brown Pure Romance Blushed Pink Collection

You know Valentine’s Day is a hop, skip, and a jump away right? The Muse simply hate’s Valentine’s Day! Bah, Humbug! Do we really need one day of the year to tell each other we love one another? We should be doing that everyday!

Even though I’m not a fan of the big V I did take note that the next Bobbi Brown launch due out in February is utterly sweet, romantic, and dare I say it reminds me of Valentine’s Day?

I’m actually excited about this particular collection for a few reasons, allow the Muse to share. One, I really like lighter colors lately especially shimmering pinks and golds. I find lighter shades really light up my eyes and make me look awake, fresh, and very pretty. Secondly, I really think that pink is a suitable color for Muse’s like myself. Pink lends a certain freshness to my face and keeps me looking young. And lastly I think pink is idea color for Spring as it’s so light and flattering for those first days of warm weather!

Bobbi Brown Pure Romance Brushed Pink Collection includes four Sparkle Eye Shadows (looks like a new formula from the Metallics, sweet!), two matte shadows, and three shimmering lip compacts. I’m all about snapping up the sparkle shadows and a few glosses but I can probably safely leave the matte shades behind even if they would make a rather nice liner and contrasts well with the pink as they are brown in color but ado the Muse doesn’t really do matte too well and she has plenty now that she hauled the Bobbi Brown Brights Palette!

I was thinking about it, the Muse likes to contemplate these things, and I was feeling ever so hopeful that Bobbi would release a limited edition pink collection a la the Pink Satin Collection I recently scored at Woodbury Commons. On top of these items that would actually put me in a better mood about Valentine’s Day I’d say!

Bobbi Brown Pure Romance Brushed Pink Collection is available in February so be on the look out for a review from the Muse when it launches!

Love all that pink?

Hauled It: Lush Comforter Lotion Review

Early November the Lush UK forum allowed all the Lush addicts to vote on a Lush scent they absolutely adored to be made into a perfume and lotion. The Muse quickly hurried over to cast her vote and was pleased that one of the scents that would be created in the products was Lush Comforter!

Weeeeeee!

The Muse hauled a few bottles and jars of Lush Comforter Body Lotion and Lush Comforter Perfume to stock in her beauty vault.

Today the Muse will give you a brief review of Lush Comforter Body Lotion and tell you how to haul Comforter in other formats even though you can’t get the lotion or perfume at the moment.

When asked what Lush Comforter smells like the Muse is quite fond of telling the world that it smells like a brand new eraser. Remember when you were a kid and had cute little smelly erasers shaped like fruits, candy, or even Hello Kitty for that matter? That’s what Comforter reminds me of. It’s terribly complex to explain but it’s mostly made up of berries and cream-like fragrance. You’ll get sweet with a bit of tarty twang which is from the cassis that’s a main note of the blend.

Now the body cream is simply stunning! It smells wonderful, lingers long, and absorbs quickly onto the skin leaving behind the sweet, tartness I was trying to explain above. It’s an extra thick cream for soothing dry skin while smelling so good you’ll want to eat it! Oh almost forgot did I mention it’s pink!

Although it’s near impossible to get the body lotion at the moment (unless your swapping skills are sharp!) the Muse highly suggests nabbing Lush Comforter Bubble Bar or Lush Comforter Shower Gel so you can experience the candy-like bliss that the Muse does when using her lotion and perfume!

Mmmm! Total Muse Approval on this one! Lush Comforter is a staple item in this Muse’s bath and body routine!

Do you love Lush Comforter?

WANT: Lush The Strokes Hair Treatment

Ooooooooooo looks what’s coming back to Lush!

Welcome back gorgeous!

The Muse absolutely adores Lush Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze and she welcomed it with open arms into the Lush haircare family however with it’s release the Muse had to bid farewell to her favorite hair treatment, The Strokes.

But it’s back!

Lush has introduced The Strokes back into the Retro Lush Catalog and the Muse is all about stocking up on a few and stashing them in her fridge! The Strokes tames my curls and adds tons of shine and body! It smells fresh and citrus like and leaves my hair scented as such for days and days and days after using!

To use The Strokes simply slap a heaping amount on dry hair and slip on a shower cap or wrap your head in a towel. The Muse normally runs a towel under extremely hot water, rings it out, and wraps around her with the treatment on. I leave it on for about an hour although they suggest 20 minutes or so. After the hour is up I rinse off and shampoo (no conditioner required) and I’m left with smooth, soft locks that remain as such for at least a month!

Best hair treatment evers!

The Muse adores The Strokes and is happy for it’s return! Remember kids Lush Hair Treatments only last 3-4 months so use them in that time or they’ll go bad!

Snag yours from Lush for $17.95 USD per a pot!

What’s your fav Lush hair treatment?

Remember The Strokes?

Thierry Mugler Angel Perfuming Body Cream Review

There isn’t any doubt in the Muse’s mind that when beauty lovers ask to have an angel sent their way they are talking about Thierry Mugler Angel.

Exquisite comes to mind when discussing Thierry Mugler Angel Perfuming Body Cream. Dropping $80 USD on a body cream may seem obscene but the cream is so rich, so complex in scent, so moisturizing, and so gorgeous that the indulgence of $80 will seem like mere pennies.

The many notes and levels of Thierry Mugler Angel fragrance lends a certain complexity to the scent that’s near impossible to explain. The name “angel” can be misleading or at least it can for the Muse as she was expecting a much lighter fragrance but in fact the scent is quite deep, dark, and unique. Notes of Bargamot, Honey, Dewberry, Red Berries, Vanilla, Chocolate, Caramel, Hedione, Helional, and Patchouli cocktail together to create a exotic and sensual fragrance. I’m not a big fan of patchouli and it’s a very dominant note in the fragrance especially during dry down however the other notes in the blend create a unique layer that morphs the patchouli into something a bit more passionate and exotic.

Thierry Mugler Angel Perfuming Body Cream is the perfect companion for layering the scent onto skin after using the perfume. The moisturizer glides on and literally melts into the skin leaving behind a softer version of the fragrance. Although the cream is thick it remains silky and smooth while absorbing easily.

Of course the Muse is a sucker for beautiful packaging and she simply loves the stunning jar that the cream comes in. The moisturizer comes encased in a large, heavy glass jar decked out in silver and blue coloring with glitter in the base of the jar and a star motif surrounding the front. The packaging lends as much beauty as the fragrance does and is completely vanity worthy.

This is truly a luxurious product and well worth every penny! I’m looking forward to adding the fragrance to my collection soon. All in all a rather beautiful and exotic product.

Have you tried Angel?

Love it?
