We Never Did Get Around To Cancelling Ari for that Donut Licking Thing Right? Thank God Because I Really Love Cloud!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Heads up there are two new Ariana Grande Fan Box Fragrance Sets available at Ulta. The first one is the Ariana Grande Cloud Fan Box and the second is the Ariana Grande R.E.M. Fan Box. I dunno if I technically need these as I’m not even an Ariana Grande fan but I have to admit both Cloud and R.E.M. are actually two very impressive juices for a celebrity launch!

If you’ve been curious about either of them now is a good time to haul as these boxes contain a 3.4 oz ($64) of the fragrance, a 0.3 oz perfume travel spray, and a comic book. Yeah, so, as a comic book geek collector I did cringe slightly at that last part. The gift sets are presented in a beautiful box ready for gifting. I’m probably going to get R.E.M since I only have a smaller bottle. For one I get BR540 vibes from R.E.M. and Cloud is a fluffy dream of a fragrance! You do save a tiny bit of money with these as the larger bottle is $64 and the travel spray is $22 so purchasing the set saves you $9. I also love they come in a beautiful box BUT the actual fragrance is also boxed! One of my biggest pet peeves is buying a fragrance set and the fragrance comes loose without a box. It drives me bonkers as I do love having the box!

If you don’t love celebrity fragrances I get it but trust me both R.E.M. and Cloud are gorgeous creations!

Both of the Ariana Grande Fan Box Fragrance Sets are available now at Ulta.

I Don’t Drink But Hand Sanitizer Got Me Drunk Last Year And The Hangover Cure Was Good Hand Cream

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I don’t drink but I’ve gotten plenty of alcohol from hand sanitizer! I mean, if hand sanitizer could get you drunk I’d be full on lushed up because I’ve abused and over used that sh1T like a pro in 2020. I’ve always kept a pocketbac around and I’ve used them normally but when COVID hit. Forget it. I become a chronic user of sanitizer like never before! “Oh god I touched a door knob! Get the sanitizer!” “Oh no I touched cans of soup other people have at the grocery store! Sanitizer!”

The worst thing about hand washing and hand sanitizer is the fact they dry your hands out horribly. Between washing hands, hand sanitizer, and the cold Winter my hands should be like alligator skin but they aren’t thanks to these hand creams!

Is Dermaplaning at Home Part of Your Skincare Routine?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

According to Google Dermaplaning at Home or How to Dermaplan was one of their top searches in 2020. We’re obviously all over here bored in the house when we’re searching out ways to shave our faces. I’m kidding 🙂

Actually, I’m sort of shocked it was trending search in 2020 as the dermaplaning trend seems like it faded out at the start of 2020. Remember when everyone on youTube was like, “Go get yourself a Tinkle Razor and start shaving your face!” Do you ever wonder if dudes sit around and notice videos like these and think, “WTF are these girls doing when we aren’t with them?”

I’m actually old school and was always told that if I shave hair would come in thicker and more coarse. Oh my god! Noooo!

I’ve also always been embarrassed about the fact I’ve had to thread my brows and my upper lip. I do hope new moms today teach their daughters that sometimes hair in weird places is a part of normal life and there’s nothing to be ashamed about. My mom always comforted me about it but I think the media just made me think something was wrong with me because I had such full brows.

But yeah, shaving my entire face? It’s not really something I’ve ever considered. We all get peach fuzz here but dermaplaning is all about just taking a razor and going to town all over your face.

What is Dermaplaning?

Well, contrary to belief it isn’t shaving your face but it is shaving your face. Technically, it’s not really supposed to remove hair! Sure, some peach fuzz will get removed in the process but Dermaplaning isn’t a technique you’d use to groom your brows or remove our mustache. It’s actually a technique that uses a small exfoliating scalpel to remove the top layer of your skin. It’s best performed by an esthetician but youTubers got a hold it and suddenly people were doing it at home with a little facial razor. The technique involves gently scrapping the razor down your face to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz. It’s not something I’d recommend for sensitive users but drier skin types should appreciate it. There are actually plenty of dermaplaning you can purchase that do the job much better than a razor plus the tools are bettered suited to the job like the Dermaflash ONE Exfoliation & Peach Fuzz Removal Device! But most folks just use a plain old Tinkle Razor or those Kitsch Pro Dermaplaner Razors!

New Makeup Brushes and Tools from Real Technique and EcoTools for Spring 2021

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Who needs new brushes? I don’t but ya know I can always be tempted. Ecotools and Real Techniques both have new Spring 2021 launches popping up at Ulta this week! I always love both brands as they’re very affordable plus the quality is pretty good.

Oh and by the way Real Techniques has a new Brush & Sponge Cleansing Gel! I dunno if they reformulated it from the Gel Brush Cleanser! That stuff was pretty darn good. We’ll have to see how both compare! I know it’s an ounce smaller now and a little cheaper at $6.99 compared to the original 5.1 oz size at $8.99!

Target’s Starting to Look like Sephora So, How Will This Ulta Thing Pan Out?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Have you been to Target lately? I know! That’s really a rhetorical question to set the mood because I know your butt has been in there at least twice this month (and it’s only the February 2nd). Target can be addicting! The promise of cheap couture lines, pretty home decor, and the fact you can get the freshest King’s Hawaiian Rolls makes for long, romantic strolls down the aisles. Well, not lately! The pandemic has me riding an anxious high anytime I go in.

Very soon Ulta will open mini locations right inside Target. All will begin training Target employees as beauty consultants and in the second half of this year a 1,000 or so square feet will be set aside at your Target store for a mini Ulta to open up! They’ll carry around 40 different beauty brands and will be constantly rotating new hair care and fragrances.

The funniest thing about this situation is Target just recently started revamping many of their beauty department. My Target has an area that looks like Sephora with a variety of different displays featuring Pixi, Makeup Revolution (just recently launched), Pacific, and more all housed in pretty little lit displays with mirrors. I wonder why they bothered spending all that money on a re-model when they had already signed a deal with Ulta.

I mean, the Ulta roll out may be a bit slower and perhaps not all stores will get one! In that case, all this remodeling is worth it but if an Ulta is coming to a location with a remodel it’s sort of wasteful!

I appreciate the remodel to be honest. It makes browsing the makeup and beauty available a little nicer. But I do wonder if it’ll go or stay once Ulta moves in.

I also hope that it doesn’t hinder Target’s beauty department! It’s always been nice how Target has brought in niche or indie brands to add to their beauty line up and I fear by signing with Ulta they might have agreed to not carry certain brands.

What do you think?
