Becca Cosmetics Going Out of Business in September So Stock Up Now

With a heavy heart I’m sad to say that Becca will be closing their doors and going out of business starting Fall 2021 (September 2021). Their products will no longer be available for purchase on their website or on any secondary stores as of that date.

Becca broke the sad news this morning in an Instagram post.

“The global pandemic has had an impact on everyone around the world on many levels. It has also had a tremendous impact on so many businesses. At BECCA, an accumulation of challenges, together with the global impact of COVID-19, has sadly been more than our business can withstand, and we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close down the BECCA brand at the end of September 2021.

We believe in you, and we believe that the beauty inside you is the light you share with the world. We are confident that the spirit of BECCA will continue to live on through all of you.
Please keep illuminating your true selves. Light your own paths and push your limits. Share positivity and light the way for others as you make an impact on this world. Own your light on your own terms.

With much Love & Gratitude,
Team Becca”

This comes as a great surprise and shock as I didn’t realize they were doing poorly but I suspect they still have a fan base but Estee Lauder is likely just shedding brands at the moment as they have been collecting brands for a while and investing in other areas. They have a total investment in Deciem at the moment worth 2.5 Billion dollars as they went from a 27% stake in the brand to 100%. I wrote briefly on this yesterday on Instagram! L’Oreal has been guilty of the same as L’Oreal ditched Clarisonic several months ago. They could be moving around money for new avenues or they could have just bitten off more than they could chew.

We’ve come to expect brands shuttering with the Pandemic but I have fear it’s not the Pandemic causing the issue but perhaps the blame lies with the parent company!

Either way, it’s very sad Becca will disappear.

I Want this Blush That’s All That Needs To Be Said

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose Pure Color Envy Blush launched today but it feels a little late as this is give me a big old Valentine’s Day vibe! But I’ll take it anyway! It’s gorgeous or at least it looks gorgeous in photos! This is a bright rosy red with a soft matte finish.

According to Estee Lauder the shade is universally flattering on skin tones and that made me laugh as I was literally talking about pH blushes on Instagram over the weekend. Anyone remember Tangee? I actually don’t but it was super popular in the 50s. It was a bright orange blush that tells the timeless tale of how it reacts with your body chemistry and changes the perfect custom color for your skin tone. We’ve seen plenty of this from products like Stila Custom Color Blush and Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Blush. Several years ago pH blushes were all the rage!

Do I think Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose Pure Color Envy Blush perfectly suitable for all skin tones? I have doubts. This is a pretty reddish so if you already have some red tones in your skin it might not look as beautiful on your skin as it does in the pan!

Universally flattering or not it’s still a stunning shade and I do want it.

Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose Pure Color Envy Blush is available now at Nordstrom.

Paula’s Choice Will Be Sold at Sephora

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I broke the news a little bit ago that Paula’s Choice is being sold at Ulta but it’s actually at Sephora! I’m all over the place today! Sorry about that! Sephora.com actually already shows 27 products as coming soon online!

I think it’s great to see Paula’s Choice expanding where you can purchase their products. One thing to note though is this isn’t their complete line of products. I hope they’ll be more items available as Paula’s line is quite extensive. Another thing that hasn’t been is if stores will carry the line as well or will it be exclusively available online. Personally, I hope it’ll be in stores as this makes things a lot more convenient for those who don’t like shopping online!

Are you excited that Paula’s Choice will be now sold at Sephora?

Thanks Andrea from L33tBeauty for sharing the news!
