Is Heretic Midnight Toker the Ultimate Stinky Hippie Perfume?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I’ve been slowly dragging out fragrances I think would make a great pick for Fall 2021 and I’ve been shopping for new ones like Heretic Midnight Toker. As a fond fan of Heretic Dirty Lemon, I promised myself I would explore more of what the house offers and it led me to perhaps wanting to purchase Midnight Toker.

Sure, being a great lover of the Steve Miller Band might have influenced wanting to make this purchase a little bit as I hear “I’m a joker I’m a smoker I’m a midnight toker” in the back of my head.

Of course, Midnight Toker is apparently nothing like some of my other Heretic purchases. For example, Dirty Lemon isn’t as dirty as one would think. You’d expect something naughty from the scent but what you get is a lemon-scented you with the sweet, tangy notes of lemon. Those “dirtier elements” like patchouli, sandalwood, and woods play a back note in the fragrance and the tart sweetness of lemon dominates. Makes ya wonder if Media wore it when confronting or shall we say seducing Shadow Moon.

Heretic Midnight Toker would be a big step for me since it contains all the elements of a great stinky hippie fragrance. Maybe it’s my upgrade, my brand new, lemon-scented you fragrance!

It looks like it’ll go hard on the Patchouli note and features some darker notes of cannabis which scare me because as you know I love uber sweet and foody fragrances! Am I going to walk around smelling like a Space Cowboy or will the nutmeg, vanilla, and amber round this fragrance out giving it warmth and sultriness that will be ideal for crisp fall nights? I’m not sure if I want to blind buy this one or not but I’m tempted just because Heretic has a very sneaky and interesting way of saying one thing but doing another with their fragrances.

Midnight Toker has a top layer of pink and black pepper combined with nutmeg. The heart consists of patchouli, cistus, and mkwhaen fruit and finally dries down with warming notes of sandalwood, vanilla, styrax, hibiscus seed, orris root, and cannabis. The promise of a sexy, warm, comforting amber fragrance is here but some of these notes could be taken wrong if they go hard.

Do I take a chance?

Or do I wait to smell this one…..?

Choices, choices…

As a gourmand lover, I may not be able to play nicely with Heretic Midnight Toker.

Could you?

What are you hauling out to create your Fall Fragrance Wardrobe?

Fenty Bomb Posse Eyeshadow Palette Dropped at Sephora France and People Are Losing Their Sh1T

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Fenty Bomb Posse Eyeshadow Palette dropped online at Sephora France and of course, the Internet is losing their sh1t! This new 12 shade eyeshadow palette is limited edition for Fall/Holiday 2021 and features a few shades inspired by Fenty’s popular Gloss Bomb like Hot Chocolit, Fu$$y, and Fenty Glow. The finishes include matte, glitter, and metallic.

I happen to be one of the few people that think that the best of the best in the Fenty Collection is the Gloss Bombs. I love them. The colors are awesome, the finish is super glossy without being sticky, and the overall formula is a win for me. I’m probably alone thinking this but I just love the Gloss Bombs and always look forward to new shades.

That being said, I dunno if the Fenty Bomb Posse Eyeshadow Palette is a clear representation of popular shades like Fenty Glow and Fu$$y but it’s still a fun idea to have an eyeshadow palette inspired by a few of Fenty Beauty’s more popular gloss shades.

The shade ranges from nudes to softer roses and as pretty as it is I think I can safely say that it’ll be very easy to dupe these colors from my own stash of palettes. I like the idea behind it but I think the palette itself isn’t unique or different from anything else we may already own. Do we need it? Probably not. Do we want it? It’ll likely be a big yay from most Fenty Beauty fan girls and guys.

Shades include:

  • Vanilla Cake
  • Ballerina
  • Rock & Rosy
  • Fu$$y
  • Cinna’Butta
  • La’ Bronze
  • Bare Bunz
  • Fenty Glow
  • New’d Beach
  • Beverly Chillz
  • Get This Bread
  • Hot Chocolit

There’s a good chance this will sell out fast this year as I feel like brands are producing less product than they normally would so limited edition feels limited edition again!

We’ll have to see if I’m right.

Fenty Bomb Posse Eyeshadow launches soon at Sephora!
