Milani Length In Seconds Lash Extension Fibers Review

Milani Length In Seconds Lash Extension Fibers3

Milani Length In Seconds Lash Extension Fibers ($7.99) is a new lash fiber formula that arrived with the Milani Spring 2016 Collection. Bless be, finally someone is releasing fibers outside of a duo!

I’ve always expressed how much I wish that Too Faced would make their fibers available out of their Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System. Seriously, just give me the fibers, I don’t need the mascara.

Since Too Faced released their False Lash Extension System many drugstore brands have launched their own variations. Recently, Wet n Wild launched their Lash-O-Matic Mascara + Fiber Extension Kit with their Spring 2016 Collection and Physicians Formula also revamped their fiber mascara duo with the introduction of Eye Booster Instant Doll Lash Extension Kit. You can see the recurring theme here right? All duos or sets that include a mascara. Although I will say that Essence launched Voluminizing Lash Powder which is, you guessed it, JUST THE FIBERS! YAY!

I just like the idea of using fibers with my own favorite mascara and not being forced into both a fiber and a mascara purchase. I mean don’t get me wrong some of these sets are fabulous but I like the idea of having the option of purchasing just the fibers. I also like this option because have you ever noticed the damn fibers are so much smaller than the mascaras they come with? As I use the fibers all up and have plenty of mascara left over. So the option of purchasing fibers only is a no brainer for me.

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil ($44) is probably one of the best facial oils I’ve come across to date. Now I can’t say if the Clinique Smart Treatment Oil formula is actually delivering target repair as needed, where needed as it is marketed for. But I sure love the idea that my facial oil hits my face and proceeds to “think” about whether or not I need more or less moisture in certain areas.

Being smart aside, this oil is a must for those of us who want softer, smoother skin!

How To Tell If Your Makeup Is Expired

How To Tell If Your Makeup Is Expired

So how do you tell if your makeup is expired? Or even your favorite fragrance? How do you know the shelf life? People always ask me, “How do you know when your makeup is expired? Do you use it after it is expired? Do you toss it?”

I’m actually a bit anal about makeup and fragrance expiration dates. I have a little handheld DYMO Label Manager and the first thing I do when I get new makeup, skincare, or fragrance is create a dated label of when I purchased the product. I take that label and I stick it on the bottom of the product. When you have a ton of different beauty products you’re testing, storing, and using you really need to keep track of when you purchased these products. This is the method I personally use.

I don’t purge often. The only things that get tossed out would be mascara, skincare, and fragrances that might be bad or have gone off. Many fragrances will last years and years if you store them in a cool, dark place but some will go off and won’t smell exactly the same way as when you purchased them. It really depends on the ingredients used in the creation of that fragrance.

Color cosmetics?

I never throw them out. They all get stored away if they are expired as I never know when I will have to go back to them for reference. If an eyeshadow expires I likely won’t use it on my eyes again but I will keep it just in case I need to reference the color or formula in a new post on Musings of a Muse.

The real question here is though how to tell if your makeup is expired. You might not be as anal as I am and you might have products laying around that you can’t recall the day you purchased. Here’s a quick way to give you an idea when or if it already is expired!

Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask ($15.99) is one of several new Yes to Coconut skincare products launching for Spring 2016 at drugstores. I picked up Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask about two weeks ago at my local Walgreens as it was simply screaming at me to buy it since I have drier skin.
