Smoky eyes, nude and natural, bold lips, what’s your makeup look of choice? Lately less is more due to the pandemic and mask mandates. It’s a little hard to be creative with your makeup when you’re wearing a mask but remember when we could wear makeup? 🙂

Do you have a preferred look or style you like to do and do often? Maybe you love a certain eye look like a cut crease or a smoky eye or maybe you like a more natural eye paired with a bolder lip!

I prefer a doll look. Glass skin, flushed cheeks (typically achieved with good cheek stain), and long lashes. Getting a doll look is probably one of the easiest makeup techniques in the world. There’s absolutely nothing to it. I use a gripping primer because it gives me that glass-like finish, a little tinted moisturizer on my face, concealer under my eyes, for my cheeks it’s either The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain or Little Bits Liquid Bloom of Roses, curl my lashes, layer Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes with It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara, and done!

Good morning beautiful people….!

Well, by the time this posts it’ll afternoon! It’s 5AM and the sun is just starting to creep into my office window. I’m hoping for some lovely weekend weather for the mamas out there! Happy early Mother’s Day! You do the most and we all appreciate you! What would we do without you? I get to see my mother this weekend and how odd that’s a novel thing…! I’m very close to my parents but the past year and a half with the pandemic it was Facetime only! I hope you get to see your mom this weekend too!

I do know many of you are dealing with the heartbreak of losing your mom recently or even many years ago please know I deeply feel for you and I’m sending you good vibes to sooth your soul. Remember her with fondness, not sadness. Mother’s are the most unselfish humans in the world and I know yours wouldn’t want to see you sad and sobbing. Try to remember all the beautiful times with her and let those memories put a smile on your face.

I’m not a mom, unless you count my dog, but I want you to know I appreciate mother’s so very much. I think you play one of the most important roles in life. Without you things simply wouldn’t work.

Shout out to my bestest friend, Sam. Sam, Happy Mother’s Day! You not only mother your own daughter but you mother me LOL! You’ve talked me out of so many dumb purchases, made me feel so much better when the pandemic was making me anxious AF, always the voice of reason when I think I’m dying from a small cut, ALWAYS going out of your way to send me packages, and made me laugh many times over the last year I don’t know how I’ll ever thank you. I can’t express much I relate to you. Have the best Mother’s Day ever! You deserve it.

It sounds like this will be very lightweight and provide light moisture with a skin brightening formula. I think we’ll start seeing plenty of formulas like this as the warmer weather hits.

I gotta admit though Tarte has so many different foundation launches it can be a little difficult to keep track sometimes. Are they really new or just renamed and repackaged….? I wish they had listed the complete ingriedent list on qvc.com to compare but sadly, nothing there. None the less, I still want to give Tarte HydroFlex Serum Foundation a try and the price is very affordable with the brush included.
