Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer Review

Oh yea baby daily concealer post time!

I know, I know you’ve been waiting ALL day for this little entry haven’t you? I fear I’m boring you with my spotlight on concealers lately but hopefully you’ve found at least one out of the batch I’ve reviewed so far that works for you!

Today I’m reviewing Lancome’s Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer. That rolls right off the tongue doesn’t it? Is it bad to admit I have no idea how to properly pronounce Maquicomplet?

I noticed that I never really review concealer in the proper light. I don’t use concealer to cover pimples or problem skin. I’m too bloody old for acne and I don’t have anything that needs covering that my foundation doesn’t already do. I’m kinda disappointed in myself because I should really review it from all angles. But I only use concealer for under eye coverage plus even if I have a pimple pop up I think layering concealer or foundation on top of it is rather gross and causes me to break out further! Yak!

Anyway!

Apologies for never properly giving you the deets on covering up pimples or problem skin with concealer!

However, Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer does a mighty nice job of concealing my dark circles and extra baggage! Maquitcomplet comes in nine shades that pretty much suit all skin tones and while carrying the correct tints to neutralize problems like dark circles. For instance I have the most lightest shade available which has a perfect yellow base to conceal my dark circles.

The packaging is a wand style applicator which for me is just as great as a click pen. Smoothing and blending this on is simple and mess free with the provided sponge tip applicator. Stroke on, pat into place, and your dark circles are gone. The product is pigmented enough to conceal dark circles perfectly however my baggy eyes weren’t as fresh looking as I’d have liked after use but I still find the product offers excellent coverage for dark circles. The formula is a thin liquid however it is creamy and quite moisturizing. I had no problems with creasing under my eyes after blending and wear lasted for at least six hours before I needed to touch up.

The price might scare you at $27.50 USD however if you’re lemming this after my review you can head on over to Bergdorf Goodman and indulge in a gift with purchase!

Spend $35 USD and with any Lancome purchase you’ll recieve a chic grey and burgundy tote filled with gorgeous samples of Color Fever Gloss and Lipstick, an eyeshadow quad, blush, mascara, Bi-Facil, Absolute Premium BX Face and Night Cream, and a Three Piece Brush Set!

Plus Lancome is always giving away something so purchasing a concealer at $27.50 USD plus nabbing a great GWP is well worth it dontcha think?

I’m actually going to head to my Lancome counter to nab that bag of goodies! I’ll be purchasing the Maharani Jewels Quad…perfect excuse to splurge $40 on a palette when I’m getting such an awesome gift! Review to follow!

The Muse likes Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer and thinks it’s worth looking at to cover up your dark circle woes!

Check it out at Lancome or your nearest Lancome counter!

hey Muse! thanks for the review! 🙂
u know i think i found another excellent concealer and it’s 1/3 of the lancome’s price! it’s the maybelline’s age rewind face perfector! i have been raving about this to everyone and on my blog haha!! it has the same applicator as the lancome one so it was a breeze to apply it. and it hides my dark circles and pimple scars very well too!
it might be an idea if u dont wanna splurge out $27.50 for another concealer! 😀

  • Decorative Diva

That’s actually a really cool bag to get with the stuff. I like silver and burgundy and shiny 😛

  • PaoPao

    Hi again!

The bag is cool (and the things inside even cooler!).

The concealer looks very liquid, doesn’t it?

    I’ll try 🙂

  • Beauty Addict

Oh Muse, u r creating so many lemmings! First the MUFE lift concealor, than the Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealor and now this! :p I can’t wait to try it all out! 😉 Anyway, have u tried any of MUFE HD makeup?

Btw, I have a BB Creamy Concealor. It cakes terribly on me no matter how I prep and prime my undereye. My undereyes must be terribly dry 🙁

    gracie 🙂

  • Tammy M

I always like GWP…just something extra to really justify an extravagent purchase! I might have to check out the Lancome Outlet to see if they carry this concealer!

  • the Muse

    hey stephy!

    It’s my pleasure dear 🙂

I haven’t tried the maybelline I’m sorta one of those girl’s that splurges on concealers b/c I feel they are better than ds.
but if you say it’s good of course I’ll want to try it 😉

Got a link to your review?!

  • the Muse

    hello pao pao!

    Agreed 🙂 WANT! hehe!

It’s dense enough that it isn’t dripping down your face but remains thin and not thick. If that makes sense.

  • the Muse

    hello mizz gracie!

LOL!!!!!! 😉 This is a good yellow base concealer so definately does a super job concealing dark circles 😛

Nope but patience little jedi the MUFE HD stuff is coming soon hehe!!!

Aw I’m sorry. Gracie you’re awful young to have dry under eyes. Might I suggest Dr Denese Hydroshield? It’s great for dry eyes!

  • the Muse

    hello there tammy!!! 🙂

Me too. it’s always really great when purchasing some $40 item or another and getting a huge bag of goodies for nothing. Totally makes me feel better about splurging!

I never seen this at the outlet but good luck! You never know! They always have killer stuff at my Lancome outlet like Flowerbomb gift sets AHHH!

  • Betty

Wow what counter gives you all those free goodies? The Macys I went to didn’t come with the blush or the brushes or the huge tote or the lipgloss! I want those free brushes haha

  • Asta

I’ve been away on vacation so I haven’t been commenting. Did you get my email?

This looks great but I’ve been staying away from Lancome until I get this new job. I did get some great steals at TJ Maxx this week, though! They had a bunch of Lancome products, all for $8. I grabbed a color design survival palette (orginally $42!!!) which came in the cutest pink case with square shells on the top. I also nabbed a lip brush and two eyeliner duos (color plus highlighting/shimmer).

I really want to nab this gwp though! Hmm does Lancome have an amazing eye cream you recommend?

  • the Muse

    hello there betty!

indeed! All that free 🙂 yay!

This was at the BG. Macy’s probably has another variation.

LOL the brushes caught my eye too! They look like a fiber optic brush i got from aromaleigh!

I think…you should go to BG…buy something else from Lancome..and get the tote, brushes and other goodies!

    *wink wink nudge nudge*

    you know you want it!

  • the Muse

    hi asta!

how was your vacation dear? I prob did but I’m piled under email forgive me for not replying sooner. Was it important?

Whatcha get?! TJ Maxx is kinda cool for getting super deals on makeup..they have TONS of lancome at the moment!
zomg awesome find! My TJ Maxx didn’t have that! I’d have loved it! I once hauled major UD from TJ Maxx!

    Mmm several….but one major fav:

Lancome High Resolution Intensive Recovery..LOVE it…so thick and creamy. Erased my fine lines so amazingly well!

    Hope this helps!

  • ‘ * : . b | u 3 . : * ‘

Seriously, why don’t I live in the US? We have such sucky GWPs in comparison…:'( The bags are smaller and uglier, and they NEVER come with brushes.

  • Asta

Yay! I’ll try that one out next time I’m at the mall. I’m scared to go to my local TJ Maxx now for fear that I’ll spend too much money. I got two double-ended pencils (purple with a silver sparkle and brown with a nude/peachy shimmer), a cuuute pink retractable lip brush (the brushes had the same names as the jelly glosses), and that palette I mentioned. The Survival palette has a shimmery pink, a darker almost cranberry pink, a neutral shimmery peach, and a black/green color with green shimmer. There were two palettes left in the bin, and I saw a girl looking at mine and handed her the other, but she told me the colors were too bright for her! I think my jaw dropped open.

I can’t believe you got UD…Urban Decay? At TJ’s? SO jealous!

The email was my addy for the B Spot giveaway, and some random chatter about WOW and such. I’m glad to be back from vacay. I’m interviewing for new jobs next week, which is super exciting (I can’t wait to move out of my parents’ house)!

  • Betty

Oh Muse, I want those free goodies! I have just discovered the beauty of Lancome products so I'm willing to spend! Unfortunately I have no idea what BG is >__< Do they have that in California?

  • the Muse

    hi Anonymous!

That’s fab I’m so glad it works for you 🙂 the yellow does a nice job of counteracting dark circles 😉

Aw I’m sorry. This one was available at BG 🙁

Hope you got a GWP anyway 🙂

  • the Muse

    hi ‘ * : . b | u 3 . : * ‘ !

Awww that stinks honey 🙁 This sure is a nice GWP with the brushes and such! So fab!

  • the Muse

    hi asta!

LOL! I totally understand. My sister adores TJ Maxx so I always wander in with her to look at the cosmetics!

Wow super fab haul! I once got an awesome Lola Brush Set for $12 which had a barrel case and 5 brushes!

Sheesh what are you supposed to give her yours..some people 😛

Yup last Summer they had a stash of UD. I even got Piccadilly which is super rare!

I prob got it but I’ve been swamped and haven’t replied. Apologies 🙁 I’ve have gotten the bspot out yet but will shortly 🙂

Hehe awesome 🙂 Happy Job Hunting and good luck to you!

    Big hugs!

  • the Muse

    hello betty!

bergdorf goodmans=BG 🙂 Sadly it’s only in new york but if you call you can purchase over the phone and they’ll fedex free of charge plus give you your GWP 😉

    Hope this helps!

  • Kels

Just wanted to let you know maquicomplet is pronounced “mah-key-com-plee”… Most probably a useless peice of info, but hey! Interesting!

    Great blog.

  • the Muse

    hi kels!

    Thanks lol! Very interesting 🙂

Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying my musings 🙂

  • Prplpoet18

If you live near a TJ Maxx, check them out this week. At my locals, they have Lancome lipstick, concealer + a few eye shadows & powders. I bought the Maquicomplet brightener concealer for $9.99 and loved it; so, I picked up a few boxes @ 3-for-1 pricing. Finding THE right proudct, at any price, is worth it I have concluded–and this from a fickle bargain-shoper!

  • the Muse

    hi there prplpoet!

    Thanks for telling us!

Will be heading to my local TJ’s to see what we have available 🙂

    Hugs!
