Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette

The Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette ($49) is a new eyeshadow palette that Too Faced is releasing for Spring 2014 which includes a mix of sixteen buttery soft eyeshadows infused with cocoa powder inspired by girl’s best friend, chocolate!

The beautifully selected shades are complimentary colors of chocolates, browns, beiges, and soft pinks housed in a chocolate bar shaped metal compact and yes, they are scented like, you guessed it, CHOCOLATE!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette

The Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette is a whimsical little palette that had me thinking of Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory when I got my hands on it. It comes in a cute box that’s shaped like a foil wrapped candy bar. Inside the palette is shaped like an actual chocolate bar! So it almost feels like you’re unwrapping an actual bar of chocolate! Cute right? The palette is made of a strong metal with a magnetic closure and a full size mirror. Too Faced also includes get the look cards with step by step instructions to create a few different looks using the palette.

You get 14 shades that are 0.03 oz in size with two larger highlighting shades that are 0.10 oz. It’s a lot of eyeshadow to say the least.

Shades include:

  • Gilded Ganache
  • Milk Chocolate
  • Black Forrest Truffle
  • Triple Fudge
  • Salted Caramel
  • Marzipan
  • Semi-Sweet
  • Strawberry Bon Bon
  • Candied Viole
  • Amaretto
  • Hazelnut
  • Crème Brulee
  • Haute Chocolate
  • Cherry Cordial
  • White Chocolate (0.10 oz)
  • Champagne Truffle (0.10 oz)

I was surprised with the shadow formula a little as Too Faced revamped and tweaked the texture a bit with these. They still have that smooth, creamy consistency with a velvety, buttery texture but they also happen to be smoother, lighter, and the fall out is considerably less as well without any larger shimmer or glittery pieces. It seems like they refined and toned down the formula ever so slightly here and it’s an improvement as during application they seemed to apply and blend out a bit easier for me. I sometimes experience a bit of fall out with Too Faced’s shadow formula but these seem to have a thinner consistency which makes them apply with no mess. The texture is delightful to say the least and the shades apply and wear beautifully. Even without primer I saw no creasing and colors stayed true and intense through a ten hour wear. I ran across one shade that was a bit drier and had more shimmer than the others and that was Black Forest Truffle but aside from that I thought the other shades were excellent. They entire palette does smell like chocolate but I thought the scent was a little less stronger than the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.

There are 7 matte shades in the palette and the other shades have a soft, satin shimmer. Both performed equally beautifully in terms of wear, application, and blending. You know how I feel about mattes but the mattes here are just as lovely as the satin shades. They have a soft, light texture that applies easily and builds up beautifully on lids. These aren’t chalky, dry mattes, they are however, soft, silky ones!

The palette is divided into both cool and warmer shades so you get a selection of colors that you’ll be able to use in warm or cooler looks. Although the warmer shades do dominate the palette there are some equally lovely cool shades for those who prefer them.

For my look below I used Hazelnut on the inner corner of my eye followed up with Glided Ganache blended into the outer crease and v with White Chocolate to highlight my brow bone and to blend out any harsh edges in my crease and finally Creme Brulee patted gently into the inner corner of my lid. I guess it’s my take on a smoky brown eye.

I’m quite eager to dig in and create a more natural look with the palette consider there are some very nice soft shades here as well to create more of a Rose Gold look. Marzipan is the perfect shade for this!

Overall, the Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette is bound to be a treat for both makeup lovers of Too Faced fan girls and boys. It’s a great selection of shades you’ll likely use daily. The shades all go very well together as well so it takes much of the guess work out of creating looks using these colors.

i enjoyed this review; it was well-detailed and i like that you mentioned about the textures and spreadability of the various shades. great close-ups as well!

  • Stephanie C.

I normally hate to say anything about prices, but $49 for just this palette? I guess it’s similar to the Naked 3, but that at least comes with primer and seems to have slightly bigger shadows overall.

All that aside, the look you did with this is so pretty! I like that most of the shades seem a bit different from most of Too Faced’s palettes.

    • the Muse

they are actually almost the same value as this has 14shades, 12 of which are 0.03 oz and 2 are 0.10 oz where as naked has 12 at 0.05 oz for $3 more. It’s kinda almost the same deal. 🙂 thanks! You’re too kind I had playing around with it that’s for sure!

  • Julie

OMG!!! This is so pretty. Love the packaging for it really looks like chocolate. Love the color too for they will def create different beautiful look for its colors are light and seem so natural on skin. They seem to also blend well with the skin.

  • Ness

Hi I have an 11 year old girl and I was wondering if u had any ideas on what I should get her for Christmas that are affordable

Ps.she wants sheer lip items and facial items

    • Tiffany

      Maybelline baby lips
Maybelline soft bouncy blush – they are sheer
I don’t know about eyeshadows though because she is only 11- you could get her the clear mascara by maybelline as well
      I hope this helps!

  • Christina W.

Even though I just bought UD’s Naked 3…I can see this one coming home too lol gorgeous swatches!!! 🙂

  • gina

Wow, it is indeed stunning! What should I do? I just bought LM artist eye palette, Lorac pro, stila master piece eye & cheek trio, I told myself, no more make up till next Christmas. I am already trying too hard not to buy naked 3, and this one coming around! Can’t fight chocolate ever, so here is the deal, I will purchase if they launch before Jan 1! Also want to say how much I appreciate your work, I read your blog religiously, help me made lots of worthy purchase! Happy thanksgiving!

    • the Muse

happy t-day gina to you and yours 🙂 enjoy! be blessed! 🙂 ha…tell me about it, I always tell myself NO MORE but who can really say no to this!? ;-D You’ll be ok as I imagine it’ll get a big push for Spring and V-day 😀 so well after Jan 1st you’ll have to time to indulge 😀

  • rachel

i feel like it’s a near-exact dupe of naked 1 plus foxy from naked 2. there are a couple additions of cool toned shadows.

  • Renu

Oooh this is lovely! I adore the packaging. Was thinking of getting Jingle All The Way but this is much lovelier and has great shades!

  • Carol

I didn’t think I wanted it but after seeing the swatches I’ll definitely be picking this one up.

  • Alyza Rae

You know, for four dollars less than a Naked palette, there are four more shades, and they all smell like chocolate! I’m so in for this over another Naked, such beautiful shades and adorable packaging!

  • Tanya

Not only is this super cute, but I think I’d actually wear more than half the colors :). Thank you for the swatches, this is now going to the top of my wishlist.

  • amy

I don’t need this, but chances are very good I’ll be at least checking this out…

  • Kim

I love it! I plan on getting naked 3 soon. Hopefully i can hold of until the next too faced friends and family sale to spring for this palette and the new peach sweetheart blush.

  • Cindy Ramirez

Hehehe oops, here are said swatches I couldn’t wait to see…

Candied Violet, oh I’m so so happy it swatched so beautifully. These colors are so lovely. This is going on my X-mas list asap!

  • Dollie

Gorgeous palette. I like the shades in this more tha the UD Naked 3. Im guessing this will look better on warm, medium skin tones than N3. And the chocolate bar packaging is seriously lovely 🙂

  • Amrita

So excited for this palette 🙂 Who doesn’t want to smell chocolate while getting ready in the morning?

  • kitkat98

Wow!! I agree, the packaging is adorable and the colors do remind me of the Nakeds.

  • Ladymoonlight

This is perfection itself. Not only does the packaging look gorgeous, but also the shades are beautiful and wearable. Thank you for sharing!

  • Shelly Motto

I’m so glad you shared this when you did and posted swatches. My birthday was two days ago. I have some shopping to do and this is now the top of my list when it’s available.

  • Megan

That candied violet color is gorgeous but I can’t get past my eyelid smelling like chocolate lol

  • Holly

Oh shoot this just threw me for a loop! I was planning on getting myself a little Christmas gift with the Lorac Pro. But I love the colors here and now I’m torn! I don’t have a need for super dark shadows like the right side of the Lorac Pro, so I’m wondering if this might be a better fit? Any thoughts?

Thanks so much for the thorough review!

    • the Muse

kinda different palettes holly..depends what what you are personally looking for in an eyeshadow palette. do you want some more neutral/natural or did you want something with more smoky shades as well as natural ones? lorac has more smoky/natural and this has more natural/nude. Thanks glad you enjoyed!

      • Holly

Thanks for these thoughts! I think I’m more of a neutral/natural girl (slash don’t wear smoky eye enough to justify ordering more beyond what I already have…whereas I do neutrals every day). So maybe I should hold out for this one!

Any idea on the timeline for launch? Wondering if “shortly” is pre- or post-Christmas! Thanks!

        • the Muse

sounds like this is for you holly! Because pro contains a bit of everything but lots more smoky shades in my opinion! 🙂 I don’t know yet but I imagine as soon as Black Friday or as late as next week, Too Faced hasn’t even me an exact date but hopefully SOON! 🙂

  • Liz

Detailed, helpful review. The key for me is reading ” buttery” texture. Always a selling point to me!

    • the Muse

hi cindy! thanks so much. I’m browsing your site now 🙂 Great blog! I typically follow in RSS.

  • Iris

Adorable palette. Reminds me a bit of the ones Lorac, or I believe it was them, came out with recently as a gift set.

  • Dee

This will be a must have for me! I like how you have described this as a more natural/nude and that is my preference. Plus, there is the chocolate factor…

  • Majick

I thought this was going to be like last years LORAC chocolate bars but when I saw the tin? OMG – so adorable!

I really like the way they did the colors with 2 bigger lighter shades. ALl the colors look really pretty.

Here’s my dilemma: I have naked 1 & 2 and would like to add 3 to the collection (I’m like that). But, I also have a decent collection of Too Faced and this really looks great.

Too Faced Chocolate? or Naked 3? HELP

    • the Muse

two vastly different palette chica…naked is cooler, more rose versus TFC which has way more chocolate/warm naturals. Depends what you are looking for an eyeshadow palette…cooler, lighter or darker more sultry 😀

      • Majick

Hmmm, cooler, lighter, or darker, more sultry? YES! lmao

I picked up Naked 3 with my $20 VIB gift card and I’m hoping to use my ULta 20% off on this. I just hope it comes in before my coupon expires. LOL

  • RedButterfly16

I just started getting into makeup and I’m turning 18 soon. I really want an eyeshadow palette for special occasions but I can’t chose between this one and Naked 3… Help?! I can only get one for Christmas 🙁

I have a light-medium tan complexion if that helps??? >.<

    • the Muse

what shades are you looking for Redbutterfly? cooler or chocolate/natural shades? the palettes are vastly different in terms of shade so perhaps ask yourself which shades you’d used more.. the naked 3 is a cooler nude eye and the chocolate palette from too face is more about natural, warmer sultry eye looks although there are a few cooler shades here as well but cool naked shades dominated 3 versus Too Faced Chocolate.

      • Maggie

I’m interested in knowing how the formulas between the Lorac Pro, the Naked 3 and this one.

  • LF

Is it bad that I REALLY want this… because it looks like chocolate??? Plus, I don’t have any Too Faced eyeshadow, and I have loved everything else I have gotten from them! Not that I need another eyeshadow palette… I must have over 50… but they’re my weakness!

  • Joy

What?!? My 2 loves, chocolate & makeup brought together? Irresistible! Naked 3 just fell off my makeup horizon in favor of this. This palette is adorable! I look forward to my eyelids smelling like chocolate LOL. Thanks for the thorough review & brilliant swatches Musey! Your smoky eye look is smokin’ 😀

    • the Muse

LOL my pleasure joy 😀 nothing better than chocolate scented eyelids right?! ;-D aw thanks chica you flatter!

  • Christina D.

Do want! Although I had seen it on Sephora.com, I wasn’t sure until I read your review and saw the swatches. As soon as I hear that it’s in stock, I’m ordering!

FYI received the absolutely gorgeous Urban Decay Naked 3 today. It is even more lovely than it looks in photos. Psyched!

  • JJ

looks YUMMY!! Thanks for the review and swatches Muse! I actually do not own any of the Naked palettes but quite tempted by this one. I might try to pick it up with the $20 off $50 at Sephora, if they still do it this year. Happy Thanksgiving!!

    • the Muse

they are actually sending cards now JJ so that would indeed be a delightful way to spend yours 🙂

  • Jenna

This looks like a must have! Great shades, great pigmentation, and it smells like chocolate! Oh, and by the way, you look great with that smokier eye! 🙂

  • AmandaM

GAH! Another eye shadow palette to long for! Thanks for posting the review and swatches…and I love the looks you did! So pretty you flirty Muse you! 😉

  • Jenna

I’ve been putting off buying any of the Naked palettes, so I’m pretty happy it dupes some of them all. I’ll be getting this

  • Paris B

I was all over this palette for some reason until I read it smells of chocolate. Sigh. I’m not a chocolate fan. I know, odd 😛 Reckon the scent will dissipate if I leave the palette open for a while? Or is the scent baked right in?

  • TwirlyGirly

After reading your review yesterday, I went to the Too Faced The Chocolate Bar page at Sephora.com and signed up to receive a notification when the palette is in stock.

This morning I received an email from Sephora which says:

“You recently requested notification when Too Faced, The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette becomes available.

We are sorry to inform you that this item has been discontinued, but our Beauty Advisors can recommend a similar product.”

    ?????

    • TwirlyGirly

Oh, and when I click on the Sephora.com link to the product in your review, it takes me to the “We are sorry but this item has sold out. Please search again or find more ways to shop below” page….

      • TwirlyGirly

According to the folks at Too Faced (on their FB page) in reply to a query asking when The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette will be available:

“Too Faced Cosmetics Hi Michelle, we will launch our spring collection on Toofaced.com in January. xo”

So, for all of you who are planning to go on a “no buy” for 2014 and thought you could buy this before the end of 2013 it looks like you’re going to be out of luck…..

      • the Muse

sorry Twirlygirly, unsure why it was removed from their site, Too Faced PR had said it will launch in December but they are giving you another date on Facebook…so unsure exact date, will confirm with them and post correct date.

        • Layla

My update on this palette muse, I got an email from too faced. And made my order this morning….and sephora will have it January 9 th since it got pushed back and …the brow set, lipsticks, blush will be aval on sephora 12 /13 on the site…..so since I ordered it from too faced this morning , the palette is now sold out in few hours! Can’t wait to get mine!:)

          • the Muse

I’m glad you got it layla 🙂 <3! enjoy wear in health! It's a fab palette 😀 I hope Sephora gets it soon for everyone else!

          • TwirlyGirly

And yet, on the Too Faced website, on the page for the palette itself, it says under “Details”:

**COMING SOON! EXCLUSIVELY AT SEPHORA 12/19/13 – 12/31/13**

  • Jackie

This was on Sephora after I read this review, but not in stock, and I just got the email from them saying it’s discontinued. It’s also not on the Too-Faced website. Is this a re-release of something they had earlier this year?

    • the Muse

it’s coming for Spring 2014 Jackie, I’m unsure why Sephora removed it but it will be releasing soon.

      • Jackie

Awesome! I decided I had to have it….I’d hate to miss a great palette with brown/neutral colors! 🙂

    • layla

HERE IS THE deal guys….Sephora is getting this palette first(THEY have it but its not shipped out from the main shipping warehouse to all the stores..until ..”TOO faced company tells them to”…Its already an item number for sephora’s system..so the “middle or end of Dec sephora should have it up, they are getting it first. Too faced will have it on their site …in january….everyone clear now? 🙂

  • martha

I went on sephora to sign up for the email saying when it would become in stock and I got the emailthis morning and it said it was discontinued

  • Cici

I saw this palette on the sephora website yesterday but apparently sephora has removed it from the website today. Booooo!

  • Christi

This palette is so gorgeous! I don’t own any Stila eyeshadows except for kitten, & this is a great deal for a lot of eyeshadow IMO! I am def picking this up, especially with 7 matte shades. Thanks for the awesome & detailed review.

  • Galaxia

chocolate scented? will it help curb cravings? hahaha looks so beautiful and reminds me of wonka, too!

  • Wendy

    Great review 🙂

I love the blended palette of cool plus warm offerings here as I do not suit overly warm palettes. I’ll echo some of the other comments here: I think I prefer this over UD Naked 3. Gorgeous swatches and Cherry Cordial and Black Forest Truffle are so my kinda thang. Thanks!

  • Isa

I will need this in my life, Muse thank you for all the work you do, I look forward to seeing your updates in my Facebook feeds. I’m addicted and have made lots if purchases based on your recommendations.

  • Denise

Hi! Do you have a release date for this palette? I signed up to be alerted when this became available on Sephora’s website but they recently sent me an email saying it was no longer available and took it off their website:( Also, can you tell me if there is a lot of glitter in this?

  • mimi

thanks so much for reviewing this! I’ve been on a hunt for a good neutral palette with more matte than shimmer and this is really good!

I’m really loving the Milk Chocolate one, what dupes do you suggest for this? I love how it’s the perfect brown with some sheen on it 🙂

    • the Muse

my pleasure mimi glad you love it! I don’t really know of any dupes, I haven’t compared it to any other natural palettes sorry!

    • TwirlyGirly

On *which* website? I checked both Sephora.com and TooFaced.com, and although the palette is listed on both websites, it’s not available for ordering as of yet.

      • the Muse

you actually missed it, it was on Too Faced today but sold out but will launch on Sephora.com on the 19th!

        • LAYLA

it got pushed back sephora told me 12/12 today….pushed back on jan 9th..for sephora…i ordered mine from too faced!

    • LAYLA

me too…plus i had a 20% OFF one time code per order on it…use “PRETTY20” on any order.

  • zFashionizta

Oh c#*p! when I logged on to too faced Thursday morning it was not there; I should have kept checking throughout the day :○( I signed up for notification from them and they did not send me a notice.

  • zFashionizta

It’s back on the too faced website!!! The entire new collection.
I just ordered it and the new limited edition Candy Bar pop out pallete & the new matte brow lift lip pencil.
use code: PRETTY20 to save 20%

  • TwirlyGirly

And now it’s back to saying “Coming Soon.”

This is REALLY beginning to piss me off. It’s obviously not an issue of it being sold out and then being restocked within a matter of hours.

I do not like being jerked around by cosmetics companies.

  • TwirlyGirly

Certainly not YOUR fault, Ms. Muse!

But this has “marketing ploy” written all over it. Are they doing this on purpose to generate more “buzz” about the product in the hope they’ll sell more?

Is Sephora is in on it, too?

First it’s listed on the Sephora website (not available to order yet)and bloggers say it’s going to be released at Sephora at the end of November.

Then it’s taken off Sephora, and the word is release will be in January.

Then we hear it’s going to be released at Sephora Dec. 19th, and Sephora puts it back on their website (not available to order yet).

Too Faced lists it on THEIR website, and intermittently it’s available for some customers to purchase, while at other times it’s not available and says “Coming Soon”.

Then Sephora says it won’t be released by them until Jan 9th?

    Very fishy.

    • the Muse

I think it could possibly have sold out fast because Christine had blogged it this week too and her site generates mega buzz. The sephora stuff is always iffy….you never know what they are going to do. I’m so sorry for the problems 🙁 I hope you get it soon!

    • ericka

I just went on the too faced site again and it still says add to bag and still lets me add it to my shopping cart I am unsure as to why it does not show the same for you but coincidentally I went on from my laptop and it just said coming soon.

      • TwirlyGirly

All I have is a laptop – no smartphone I can use to access the site.

        That doesn’t seem quite fair!

        • the Muse

it actually appears in stock when I refresh but it disappears quick in firefox, try another browser.

          • TwirlyGirly

I cleared my cache and tried both IE and Firefox, and regardless of which one I use it still says “Coming Soon.”

I think this is a glitch which is only affecting those who access the site using smartphones. Because I am trying to use a laptop, it always shows up as “Coming Soon” for me.

            I am sad.

          • ericka

Dont be sad its going to be available its not like you won’t be able to get it

  • Jackie

I’m sorry, I was doing this over my cell phone while at work…it was the TooFaced site, and I wish I’d have had the coupon! It was hard for me to grab it, then have to register which I thought I already was, then complete the purchase. I thought it was nuts that it was there before we thought it would be, and maybe the one I got was a leftover from the first release of it. I had clicked through from an email I got yesterday morning announcing the collection & I was surprised I could get it already.
I wonder also if sometimes companies are not prepared for the deluge of customers when they hit on a great collection. You’d think they would be by this time, especially when MAC LE lipsticks are sold out the day of release, which never fails to piss me off.

  • zFashionizta

I spoke with them less than an hour ago because I wanted to cancel something on my order and they were surprised that it was online and available for sale and that I was able to place an order. They told me that this pallete is supposed to be a Sephora exclusive this month and not available on too faced until January 1st but because I did place the order that I will definitely get it.

  • Jackie

I hope they do. The charge shows as “pending” in my bank account, but it’s there!

  • zFashionizta

I just went back on the site and was able to put those items in the shopping bag and go to check out.

  • Ericka

It’s been launched on sephora ladies
Uhh so I was able to order from too faced and they sent me a confirmation but nothing since then so Idk if I should order from sephora too or just wait

  • Amanda

I just bought it on Sephora.com and used my VIB $20 off coupon! I can’t wait to get it! 🙂

  • Summer

Ooh! This is a gorgeous look for you! Very pretty! Thanks for sharing! This is on my wish list! 🙂

  • Rachel

I am torn now between Naked 3 and this! I have pale skin and dark brown eyes — I worry that the pink tones in Naked 3 might be too pink but then I worry since I have the Naked palette and Smash box Camera Ready Palette and those have a lot of neutrals like this… What do you recommend?

    • Jackie

Rachel, I have brown eyes & am fairly pale, & these shades are gorgeous! I have the other palettes you mentioned, including Naked 3, but this is one I might even buy a backup of!! Plus, it’s fun that you smell chocolate when you are putting it on!

  • Myriah

I bought this and HATE it, so hard to blend. Ive only returned one thing in my entire life as a shopaholic and this will be the 2nd. Honestly so awful, Better quality in ELF or Jordana eyeshadows.

  • Melissa

Rachel I have the naked 3 and love it! Some of the pink colors in it are a bit of a darker pink. I also have dark brown eyes and light skin. I also have the naked 2. I can’t decide if I want this chocolate bar eye palette also.

  • Majick

I just picked this up at ulta with a F&F coupon. I only tried some of the colors the first night I got it and my eyelids were really itchy. I’ve never had this problem with too faced shadows. I also got new glasses and am not used to being contact lens free so I’m waiting for the weekend to try it again. I would hate to be stuck at work with major itchies.
Anyone else experience this with the chocolate products?

    • ERICKA

I don’t notice any issue with the cocoa powder because it’s suppose to be soothing to the skin
My eyes itch with every other palette I use besides this one surprisingly

  • Kilayli

Ack! I want this so badly! I love these types of colors, but I don’t even wear eyeshadow (I’m kinda young). Hehe I hope I can get this once I start wearing shadows regularly in the future (well I hope it’ll still be on the market). It wouldn’t get discontinued, right? The concept is so appealing; super cute packaging and it’s scented!

Lovelovelove your make-up reviews, they’re the best, I always check them out before buying 🙂 And that look on you is gorgeous!

I always loved ur site!! Loved your reviews. Stumbled upon this post as I was in dilemma whether to buy Naked2 or this chocolate bar. I was a huge fan of neutral earthy natural shades, it would be really helpful if u could recommend me which to get 🙂 thanks in advance pretty

Hey! i normally dont comment on blogs because no one actually replies but since i saw u answering some peoples questions and comments i thought i would give it a try 🙂 i was wondering if i should buy this palette or the naked palette (the original) I am a teenager in high school and just want some natural everyday neutrals. Could somebody give me suggestions? (I am an eyeshadow newbie!)

I’d go with the Naked Makeup Lover. It’s a much better option because it’s a little more versatile. This is an excellent pick up as well but if you really like natural eye looks I think the Naked Palette offers more!

I had been wanting this palette for so long & had high expectation for it.. I finally got my hands on it yesterday & once I started swatching it I was so disappointed! I’m not sure if I just got a bad palette, but the shades were hardly pigmented & very chalky and the shimmers had so much fall out. I am hoping once I actually start wearing them on my eyes they will perform better, but I was sadly disappointed with playing around with it initially. 🙁 Glad to see you love it though!

I’m sorry to hear it Kelly 🙁 It’s one of my fav shadow palettes at the moment!

Thanks. 🙂 It’s really gorgeous as far as the colors go.. Hopefully it will work out for me!

Hi! I was wondering how you did your swatches as I have exactly the same problem, my shadows look nothing like yours when applied! I’d really love any advice.

        • Isabella Muse

didn’t really do anything special sophie, I dipped a eyeshadow sponge applicator in the shadow and swatched on my arm. Hope this helps.

  • Jackie

maybe try a damp applicator? I didn’t have problems, tho, using mine dry with a brush.

    • Kelly Patterson

I was thinking maybe I should try that.. Most people’s swatches looked a lot better than mine did. I’m hoping it will perform better once I really start playing around with it. Thanks for the tip! 🙂

I’m super late into the eyeshadow game. I’m a newbie at all this but would this be a good palette to venture into? I’m into the subtle natural pretty look, nothing too crazy. I have medium warm skintone but I’m not tan.

You might want to go with Urban Decay Naked. It’s one of the easier ones to work with if you’re very new to eyeshadows. And it has a perfection selection of nude, natural shades!

Im also super late to this. But, i just got one about a week ago from a friend, and im weirdly scard to use it for fear that its a fake. Ive reak that they all have codes on the box and the back of the pallett. But,someone told me that if the code is al5,its a fake. Can you help?
