Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes Review & Swatches
The Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes Eyeshadow Palette is yet another 10 pan eyeshadow palette that launched for Spring 2016 along with in the Cafe Play Color Eyes Eyeshadow Palette as well as the new, limited edition Berry Delicious Spring 2016 Collection.
Etude House has been keeping busy, busy with their Spring releases for sure.
Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes is filled with ten shades of matte, shimmer, and satin eyeshadows in an pops of orange and peach combined with darker neutrals and browns to create some outstandingly fun Spring looks! I love the contrast of shades here as they all go so well together. The brown and peach jive beautifully together to create a fun little natural look with a pop of fire or you can pair up some of the lighter shades to create a more nude, natural peachy look. I love peachy and orange shades so I’m really adoring this palette.
I think the formula is slightly better here than with the In the Cafe Palette which was dominated by drier, denser mattes. The mattes are still here though and they are still about the same consistency as what I saw from the In the Cafe Palette but there are also more satiny shades and shimmers that are considerably nicer. The mattes are very sheer and do run drier but they apply without being patchy. The satins are a little silkier but still sheer. The real start here are the shimmer especially the fiery orange shade called Fever Orange which quite reminds me of Flame from the Urban Decay Vice 4 Eyeshadow Palette. It also reminds me of some of the shades that arrived with the Luucidarling Fantastic Gradation Eyes Palette from the Etude House Miss Tangerine Collection from a few years ago. If nothing else I’d buy the Juice Bar Play Color Eyes Palette over and over again just for this shade.
This palette does make me sad though as a majority of the satin and matte shades are very sheer so you can’t do too many dramatic looks with it. But if you like softer, peachy look with a pop of stronger color you can definitely achieve that with this little palette!
The Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes has its moments not all of which are good but I still really, really liked this palette and thought it created some really pretty looks although you do have to doctor some of them up with a cream base for the best intensity. But I’m totally considering a back up! That orange shade is one I don’t want to be without.
The Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes Palette is available now from a variety of ebay.com sellers.
