About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Purchased 2 Butter Eye Glosses today, Oil Slick (sparkling chameleon. . . who could resist, even if I wear it once?) and Spark (warm sparkling champagne. . . hoping this will be one I could wear more as an everyday thing). That’s all so far. Mega tempted by the Galifornia box, but I think I can wait for a sale or coupon on that.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ulta. On Sunday I was looking at buying the Julep Eyeshadow 101 sticks, but only the first 10 colors were priced at $10. The rest were $18. I checked again yesterday and they were still the same. I called customer service and they told me there were issues with the website but if I wanted I could buy them for $18 and then later request a refund. Umm, no thanks!!
It does look like the pricing is correct today.

    • Isabella Muse

thank god you didn’t because they prob would have taken ages to refund!

I was born in NY( Long Island) . My parents moved us to S. Florida when I was 3, so I basically grew up there( and California), but my heart is always in NY. We’re currently planning a trip back to the city around October. Last time we were there, we had some cheap dumplings in China town. Later, I read an article how the employees were making them out in the back alley with rats running around. The health dept. shut them down. That place was standing room only and sooooo busy.

chinese dumplings in a back alley? This sounds like the NY I know and love. Haha 🙂 Fall is the best time to come in my opinion 🙂

Muse, My benefit cheek parade just was delivered today. All the shades are very pretty and full size. I recommend it. Also states that the shades are made in USA and Italy

No, I have all the powders in it individually so it would be a waste for me 🙂
