Sephora Black Friday 2017 Preview on November 17th

The Sephora Black Friday 2017 Preview is set for November 17t with makeup and beauty gifts $15 and under. As always the Black Friday deals will be available online at Sephora.com and in stores. Typically they sell out FAST so you really have to be on the site and up at stupid o’clock to get them. One year it was at 12AM EST but it could also be at 3AM EST. Unfortunately, Sephora doesn’t share details on the exact time they set the deals to go live so you have to keep refreshing and hope for the best.

I have some doubts things will sell out fast though this year. Why? Because lately things are cooling down in the “super limited edition” world. I think brands are catching on that we find it annoying that they use FOMO sales tactics with limited releases that later come back as more fuller, wide spread ones. No one likes jumping through hoops to buy makeup. I think we saw this with Fenty recently as I thought for sure much of the line would sell out completely once it went live. But obviously Riri gets us because there was plenty of her product to go around on launch and nothing sold out even though everyone was most definitely buying. So, my hope is that Sephora Black Friday 2017 won’t be as bad as prior years with items selling out in a blink.

We shall see how it turns out.

If you haven’t experienced the sales for yourself you can expect some cute sets from Tarte, Too Faced, and many other brands that make excellent small gifts, Secret Santa ones, or even stocking stuffers.

As more info becomes available I promise I’ll share all the details.

Are you excited for Sephora Black Friday 2017?

What do you hope to see?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’d like a great kit that doesn’t include lipstick, gloss, lip liner, etc. I don’t use those and so it’s a waste for my to buy a kit that has lots of them.

A great skincare kit would be nice.

You know what I would absolutely LOVE is if they did something like a build your own samples purchase once per year at holiday time. When you go to the store, they squeeze out whatever…could you imagine if you could get say 1-2oz bottles/containers of hair masks, shampoo/conditioner to try all that stuff out/travel with, .25 oz of foundation so if you need to mix shades it’s then a regular size rather than 3 big sizes to start with. And of course it should be priced appropriately based on the item, if the item is $100 for 10oz, the 1oz could be $12-15 for the bump in small size. A once a year cosmetics dispensary!

I don’t think they have one this year. I got a mini catalog that came with my discount card but that’s it. I have a feeling that is all they are doing this year but don’t quote me!

Ah – the 12am/3am thing didn’t even occur to me. Not relating to this exact event, but Part II of the 20FORROUGE sale. I did not heed your advice and a couple of things I wanted sold out before I decided to make a purchase. But they were available yesterday, so I added them to my basket and planned on hanging out until midnight tonight. But 3am? Ugh.

Sephora is weird. Sometimes they launch at 12AM EST but most times it is a 3AM EST thing and occasionally, rarely, they do 9ish AM EST. It drives me nuts. I just wish they’d give us a time it would be so helpful to know an exact time versus waking up at odd ass hours at night to purchase makeup!

I’d love to see some lip kits for either cool tones or warm tones, instead of like buying a kit of 3 with one color you know you’ll never use. I’ve put lots of lip kits right back on the shelf cause although I’d love to have the 2 cool shades in the box, the other 2 are warm.
